Comment 2018-09-20 04:50:42 @steembasicincome   I used to get my votes from SBI because I signed up a while ago. Now my votes come from SBI2 or SBI3. Does that make a difference? I thought that the people in lower pools got slightly higher votes for getting in sooner.
Comment 2018-09-20 04:44:00 @sbsparts   Those are some big eye sockets for small skulls. Are these ones going on pens and pencils as well?
Comment 2018-09-20 04:42:21 @ssg-community   It will go back up!
Comment 2018-09-20 04:40:36 @sevinwilson   Dang it, man! The color of my house was supposed to be a surprise. I asked my wife and she said that's ours. Dang it. That's how we were doing our gender reveal too. Fortunately you can't see the color of the walls inside. I guess I'll have to wait a bit to find that out. :P
Comment 2018-09-20 04:38:15 @silversaver888   No gold in pack number 2... but I'm guessing that packs 3 and 5 will have one each. :)
Comment 2018-09-20 04:36:09 @brian.rrr   That sounds like a great date night! The Rock has been one of the biggest stars over the last decade or so, so that must have been fun to see him hosting his own show. When does the episode air? If you show up in the footage, are you going to take screenshots and post them to show us?
Comment 2018-09-20 03:30:45 @dosdudes   14!
Comment 2018-09-20 03:29:36 @djohan   I like the background change, and those rounds are great! I'd love to get a few myself. If you keep chopping off the heads, does the round get bigger too? Ha ha.
Comment 2018-09-20 03:25:36 @papa-pepper   Way to make use of the resources that you have. And since there are leftovers, you got more veggies that you weren't even expecting. Now the animals get good food.
Comment 2018-09-20 03:24:09 @stnwllstrtgc   Don't cry over drunk whiskey. :P
Comment 2018-09-20 03:22:54 @raybrockman   Silver is amazing! Just a few more reasons to love the shiny. Time to get more, I guess! Stack on.
Comment 2018-09-20 03:09:06 @tcpolymath   Thanks for helping out. I was looking up the prices to see if I could get more info, and I discovered just that. Poloniex is weird. It's strange that Busy only uses the one exchange for their info. Looking forward to seeing your post!
Comment 2018-09-19 21:00:33 @minnowsupport   Trying to increase your exposure by giving you upvotes from Minnow Support, @britcoin. It's not a lot, but every little bit helps.
Comment 2018-09-19 20:59:00 @minnowsupport   Gave you my daily upvote from Minnow Support, @britcoin. It's not a lot, but it's worth more than my vote, so the two of them together make something.
Comment 2018-09-19 17:06:57 @bigram13   Dang, that's huge! Is it a publicity item that they're not actually going to be serving? It seems like that would be more work than it's worth. I would have split it as well if I had ordered it. However, how often do you find three other people who also want burgers and want to eat it the same way? I like the novelty of it. I'm not sure about the practicality though.
Comment 2018-09-19 17:04:33 @galenkp   No words.
Comment 2018-09-19 16:57:33 @donkeypong   I'm a sucker for semantics, so you had me with the title. Granted, the post didn't really follow the title, but I like Chile, and chili, and don't mind chilly if I have a good coat, so it was all good. Chili is nice in that you can hide whatever you want in there and most people won't notice. Like in your situation, you had lots of veggies, but it can be difficult to get the kids to eat them. Hide them all in chili and they'll eat it all. I'd rather have a recipe to work off of, but you must be a pro if you can do it without. It sounds delicious and given that your kids "slurped it up" I'd say you had a winner.
Comment 2018-09-19 03:51:57 @rentmoney   I'm thinking I'll do white team as I have the most cards there.
Comment 2018-09-19 02:06:18 @sbsparts   That's a baller move, man!
Comment 2018-09-18 23:18:48 @humanearl   I'm themanwithnoname #9745
Comment 2018-09-18 23:17:45 @humanearl   Things definitely have slowed down. I've lost a bit of momentum as well. Normally I post earlier in the day, but with waiting until the evening to post yesterday, I didn't know what to do today. Therefore, this post. I don't really much much. I'm not a developer, but I do try to keep an ear out for whatever is happening with SMTs. I looked you up on Discord, but I didn't see you.
Comment 2018-09-18 23:11:33 @bashadow    steem acknowledged the issue right away, (unlike most companies who don't say a word for several days to weeks about "issues") That is a possibility. It's nice that they've actually started communicating better. The increase in transparency could be a factor in people trusting the direction of Steem. I hadn't even thought of money getting transferred through an issue. I know it can happen on other blockchains, but I always figured that unless the witnesses went rogue, we'd be fine. Still, it's nice that the powers that be let us know that we're not getting cleaned out.
Comment 2018-09-18 23:09:03 @ronaldoavelino   It could actually be a sustained increase in demand. We'll see what happens over the next few hours and days, if the demand stays at these levels, or if it drops off again.
Comment 2018-09-18 23:08:15 @protegeaa   Markets can be weird. The people who go to markets can be weird. There's just all kinds of potential weirdness. It seems like they did a good job of getting it going again. It's a bummer that it went down, and ideally they would have a system in place to test the new hard forks before releasing them. Then these issues wouldn't happen. However, it seems that the witnesses did a good job of responding and getting things working again as quickly as they could. We're off and running again!
Comment 2018-09-18 22:50:42 @glenalbrethsen   It didn't seem like there was a big uptick, but that's as good an explanation as I can come up with. It really does seem like this is all based on smoke and mirrors. And it normally seems like the opposite happens. That is definitely higher than normal volume for Steem. I wonder what's going on. Maybe some people know something that we don't.
Comment 2018-09-18 22:49:03 @davedickeyyall   It didn't seem like BTC went up that much, but that could be it. I can't really predict when it will go up or down. If I could, I'd be making bank. :P
Comment 2018-09-18 20:34:21 @glenalbrethsen   I ran through a lot of those things myself. I didn't watch the price of Steem as I stopped worrying about what it was doing. I'm still not in a position to buy, so I don't watch. Same with silver unless I'm doing a spot check. I'm glad it's all up and running so you don't have to keep watching SteemWorld cycle the error messages as it seeks new nodes from which to grab data. Now you can get back to writing.
Comment 2018-09-18 18:35:57 @overkillcoin   I'm not a big fan of fire ants. They swarm all over things and they hurt like crazy when they bite. Hopefully you got in and out with your boot before they could latch on.
Comment 2018-09-18 18:33:36 @protegeaa   Yeah, I use Brave. Actually, I use a combination of browsers for different things. I tend to have a lot of things open that I refresh at different rates, but Brave is one of my favorite browsers because of the fact that they block ads. I love not having to look at all that garbage all day. Steem has shown that there are better ways of delivering content without needing to show ads. Other sites can follow suite and provide a better experience for their users.
Comment 2018-09-18 17:38:03 @infidel1258   I'm sure that some people won't be too upset if you don't maximize recovery for them. There's that sweet spot where a person can get a settlement or payout for just less than the amount that would make them whole. Since they're not made whole, the insurance company doesn't get anything. If you get more than that amount, then the insurance company gets to take back a portion of the award. Good for the company, but not great for the injured person. I wish I didn't know so much about this. Glad to see you're having fun while you're working!
Comment 2018-09-18 17:35:09 @mrchef111   Super cool, man! I like the look of the dragonfruit. I don't know that I've ever eaten it, but I've seen them and they look like they'd be sweet. That was nice of @papa-pepper to send you some. Also, the 2018 Steem Silver Round is an Amazing gift! He's a very generous guy and I'm glad that it went to someone who appreciates it. I'm looking forward to seeing your planting video!
Comment 2018-09-18 17:21:45 @gdwcoins   Just a wild guess, but I'm going with 190 grams. 45+45+100 = 190. I think it might be low, but better low than high, right?
Comment 2018-09-18 17:10:18 @papa-pepper   Congratulations on getting into your house. Three years is a long time to wait, but you've done a lot in that time and things are coming together. You did well!
Comment 2018-09-18 16:24:30 @see-it-feel-it   I'd like to vote for: @abh12345 @lynncoyle1 @tcpolymath
Comment 2018-09-18 16:13:15 @dragosroua   As I was reading it I thought that you were going to write that he bought all the spots and is going alone so he doesn't have to share the glory. Ha ha.
Comment 2018-09-18 16:05:51 @davedickeyyall   It probably will. It's just entertaining to me that when we revert to a previous version that's not supposed to be as good that the price would jump. Maybe it's just because people are glad to be able to get back online.
Comment 2018-09-18 16:03:15 @the-alien   Currently I'm rooting for Arsenal and Bournemouth. I have both of them in a contest, so they're my teams. :D How about you?
Comment 2018-09-18 16:01:21 @janton   I'll try to get some gold for you to look at. It might take quite a while, so don't hold your breath. I'm just saying.
Comment 2018-09-18 16:00:12 @janton    gold would be better but silver is good. Gold is currently around 85 times the price of silver, so I'm stocking silver while I can. When the price of silver rises, I'll be able to trade some for gold and have more than I would have if I had bought gold to begin with.
Comment 2018-09-18 15:58:15 @lynncoyle1   No worries. Comments get lost easily here. I wasn't upset. I'm glad you're getting out and finding new places to eat. Apparently the new place/new landlord is paying all sorts of dividends.
Comment 2018-09-18 15:56:39 @beckieg   I'm glad you like it. The design is confrontational to some extent. I wasn't intending to start any kind of debate, just showcasing the bar. You're right though, it's an "in your face" kind of bar. Have a great day as well!
Comment 2018-09-18 15:55:21 @glenalbrethsen   It's a little less than 1/3 of the thickness of a 1 ounce bar. It's thin enough that I think I could bend it fairly easily. I haven't really tried though because I don't want it to be bent, I just want to try doing the bending. It's a real conundrum. The overall cost is less than a 1 ounce bar, but the cost per gram is higher. The bar might not look silvery because of the light that I'm using. It's got a softer glow to it. Maybe I need to get some that are lower in the heat spectrum so it comes out bluish. That would be cool. Get it, cool? :P
Comment 2018-09-18 15:52:21 @galenkp   I figured that you would be one who liked the sniper aspect of it. It's definitely not the way to go if you're stacking for weight, but it's shiny and is something different, so I was glad to get it.
Comment 2018-09-18 15:50:57 @owenwat   Thanks, I'm glad you liked it. It was likely some Army enthusiast who had it minted, but I can't find who specifically minted it. They may have made other designs as well.
Comment 2018-09-18 15:49:06 @ronaldoavelino   It was a bit higher premium than I would have preferred, but it wasn't terrible considering it was such a small bar. I think I paid $6 for this. I probably wouldn't buy another, but it was fun to get the one.
Comment 2018-09-18 15:47:03 @davedickeyyall   I agree. That's why it makes no sense that the price of Steem would jump once we got news that we're reverting to HF19.
Comment 2018-09-18 15:42:21 @silverd510   I look at all my change, but it's been a while since I got a silver one either. Congrats on the find! Maybe time to buy a lottery ticket too. Ha ha.
Comment 2018-09-18 15:31:39 @glenalbrethsen   The security measures are a hassle for a lot of people. And they cost the taxpayers a lot more money than we otherwise spent on security. And they invade our privacy. But they've been sold to us as necessary to protect ourselves from bad people. I think there's something to be said for that, but it sure can be a pain. I'm sorry you can't go to the gate with your wife anymore. I know what you mean about the difference between the comfort of being able to sit with them until it's time to leave, and trying to watch them go through security along with hundreds of other people. Hopefully she made it there safely and is having a great time. Hopefully you're enjoying your week of glorious return to Steemit (minus yesterday when it was down). Good luck in the League this week!
Comment 2018-09-17 04:15:12 @the-alien   That's really exciting news. I probably won't jump in on that one as I'm not a fan of PSG, but it could definitely open doors for tokenization of teams that I do follow. And it's another use for the blockchain. I'm excited for the days when we'll finally be able to say "I told you so" to all the people who said blockchain was worthless. :)
Comment 2018-09-17 01:51:54 @smooth   I have been enjoying @abh12345's Engagement League for months now and I'm thrilled that you chose him as one of your winners, @smooth. I think he'll continue to be a great asset to Steemit and Steem. Thanks for helping him get to SteemFest!
Comment 2018-09-17 01:46:03 @nanzo-scoop   That's very impressive to correctly predict all the different outcomes. Congratulations, @yuniswett454! Thanks for running the contest, @nanzo-scoop.
Comment 2018-09-17 01:42:03 @raybrockman   Dang, man. You know how to have fun. And you might be a kid at heart, but your toys have gotten cooler. :D
Comment 2018-09-17 01:37:36 @lynncoyle1   I'm glad you got a chance to really say goodbye. It sounds like it helped! Good thing you decided to get a little more sleep.
Comment 2018-09-17 00:43:57 @galenkp   The thing about perfect days is that they're gone by the end of 24 hours. I think you're right that it's better to be aware of what's good right now. Then no matter when you are, you'll be content, because you won't be chasing that elusive, but fleeting "perfect day."

Comment 2018-09-16 19:24:45 @overkillcoin   Pics of a cute little turtle are always a crowd pleaser, at least for me. It's adorable. I'd love to have one as a pet that just lived in my backyard, but liked to come play with me. I hope things get better for you soon!
Comment 2018-09-16 19:18:27 @gdwcoins   Thank you!
Comment 2018-09-16 18:05:18 @gdwcoins   Man, you cleaned up with some great world coins. Good for you for braving the rain. I can't remember what teams I had. Do you remember? Ha ha.
Comment 2018-09-16 18:01:09 @always1success   It looks so peaceful and relaxing. I would love to get some time to rest by the water. And sunset is a great time to do it!
Comment 2018-09-16 17:53:36 @silveringots   That's awesome! It's tough to find info on some of the rarer rounds, bars, and ingots. You found a treasure trove there. Congrats, man. The compulsion pays off! I'm glad the piece ended up with someone who can appreciate the value and significance of the history as much as the silver.
Comment 2018-09-16 17:46:03 @rebeccaryan   Hopefully the fall rains will bring more water to it. And if there are mountains that feed the river, in the spring the snows will keep water in it. I think one of the most fascinating water phenomenons is the annual flooding of the Okavango Delta in Africa. I once watched a show about it on Discovery or Planet Earth or something. Most of the places will be a desert until the rains come and then it will spring to life! It is very interesting to see.
Comment 2018-09-16 17:43:21 @dragosroua   It wouldn't surprise me if that's exactly what happens. The huge swings in volume normally indicate that it's one person making the move, unless it's sustained because people are panicking and dumping. Most of us don't have that kind of account. We just ride the waves and keep on posting.
Comment 2018-09-16 17:40:45 @rok-sivante   I'll start with commenting on the end. You said this was written in 2011. How have you done in living this for the last seven years? I know I'm not fully valuing the journey. I've been in a place where the results have been lacking in many ways, and I've been discouraged by that, so it has pulled my focus more to "succeeding" rather than "enjoying the process." I'm working on changing my perspective to remember to focus on the process/journey. It's tough to do when the lack of "results" can mean there is no money to pay bills. Still really good thoughts though. I appreciated getting to step back and reevaluate how I'm thinking.
Comment 2018-09-16 16:43:36 @tbnfl4sun   Sorry the surgery didn't go quite as planned. Glad to hear that you had lots of family surrounding you and making sure that you were doing well. Glad to have you back! Hopefully you still get to do some lounging and binge watch some Netflix.
Comment 2018-09-16 15:43:54 @ssg-community
Comment 2018-09-16 06:01:33 @smithlabs   Yep, the seasons are changing and a lot of places are starting to get colder. There are going to be more and more insects looking for ways and places to keep warm. Watch out for spiders! They're all on the move.
Comment 2018-09-16 05:59:27 @jongolson   I ended up getting into crypto at the wrong time, so I'm HODLing a lot, but I think it will come back eventually. In the meantime, I like Steeming so I can earn more crypto. And the low prices make it a great time to get Steem. If I could only be more disciplined and come up with a plan to buy crypto and then carry it out instead of just running to the coin store as soon as I've got a few dollars. Ha ha.
Comment 2018-09-16 05:57:06 @smithlabs   Half a million?! Wow, that's really a lot. I mean, 10 is a lot, but that's staggering. I worry for the future of the country when we don't value human life.
Comment 2018-09-16 05:55:30 @nords   Thanks for the heads up!
Comment 2018-09-16 05:48:21 @mrchef111   DO it! Post it! ;)
Comment 2018-09-16 05:46:00 @jongolson   People really do like to kick you when you're down. It seems even more so with crypto because the media bashes it so constantly that if you're ignorant to the value and potential value of cryptos... you'd have to be a moron to buy any tokens. But if you have any idea of where this could and WILL go at some point with some of the tokens, then you take the time to find projects that are likely to do well, and you invest when the prices are low. Steem is a good place to start. I haven't seen prices this low before, so it's a lower point of entry!
Comment 2018-09-16 05:42:18 @fumegi   Did you visit it recently? What inspired the picture and the post? It's a lovely spot!
Comment 2018-09-16 05:41:09 @camal   Look out!
Comment 2018-09-16 05:40:27 @janton
Comment 2018-09-16 05:39:24 @janton   It depends on why you started stacking to begin with. Everyone's priorities are different. Mine is to stack for weight, but I get distracted most of the time and I buy pretty coins because I don't have them yet. I need to be more disciplined about my purchases. I can't remember if you asked, but yes, I do have some 2018 Steem Silver Rounds. I am going to try to get at least one 2017 round as I wasn't around for that. I just need to get the money...
Comment 2018-09-16 05:37:06 @janton   Hopefully people are getting jobs without me telling them that they could buy more steem with the money. It could also tank the price of steem though if everyone stopped posting to get a job to buy more steem. Then again, the prices would be lower, so we'd all get more of it. I ended up putting it toward silver. I couldn't keep myself from spending it on the shiny. Getting a job at the coin store could be the best thing ever, or it could be a terrible thing to see so many awesome coins and not be able to buy them.
Comment 2018-09-16 05:34:24 @janton   There was more than that, but it was a personal conversation. I didn't feel like all the details of the exchange were for public dissemination. He'll get the word out when he's ready. Whatever he decides to do will be his thing. I am rather mysterious, aren't I? It helps to not have a name!
Comment 2018-09-16 05:32:15 @silverd510   That's a good run! I did feel a little guilty because they had a bunch of them all in strips. I didn't want to take these away from their friends, but not all of them were in sequence. There were some missing so I didn't feel too bad. I'm definitely going to be on the lookout for more of these.
Comment 2018-09-16 05:30:45 @thedamus   Dang, man! 812 and 813?! You are a baller, aren't you? When you said low, I didn't think it would be that low. I apologize. I should have known better. :D
Comment 2018-09-16 05:29:18 @powermaster   Heck, yes! Thank you again. Hopefully I don't have to use them against you in a tournament some day. That would be awkward. ;)
Comment 2018-09-16 05:27:33 @ronaldoavelino   I do remember mainly seeing coins from you and they aren't normally serialized. Even if something is a bar or a round, that doesn't mean that it's serialized. It's something that I wish they'd do more often, but as it adds to the cost, many choose not to.
Comment 2018-09-16 05:11:33 @inspiredgideon1   Sorry, buddy!
Comment 2018-09-16 05:08:48 @tobixen   Hmmm, it seems like they should have been able to find documents or make new ones for him in 18 years! That's nuts. I didn't realize that he was the inspiration for the film. I think that if I had nothing better to do, or no other plans, it could be fun for a little while. But sooner or later, I'd want to get back to reality.
Comment 2018-09-16 05:06:39 @smithlabs   From what I understand there are governments around the world that have legalized euthanasia and within those countries, older people are now afraid to have doctors visits because there are statistically-significant reports of people being killed without their permission or even knowledge. They're just being murdered by their doctors. Scary stuff!
Comment 2018-09-16 05:00:48 @amranahmed   Do you know what kind it is?
Comment 2018-09-16 05:00:09 @mrchef111   I was at the store today looking at other stuff, but I realized that I didn't have any coupons with me, so it's going to have to wait for another day.
Comment 2018-09-16 04:59:15 @mrchef111    I want to learn more about the history of my parents gold coin. Go for it! Maybe they can tell you the family history of it too, if you don't already know. Some of the book history won't be able to tell you the family stories or the stories personal to the specific coin.
Comment 2018-09-16 04:57:06 @galenkp   I know the feeling. Sometimes I'll get done stuffing my face full of delicious dinner, and then I'll still be craving some sort of snack, ice cream, or cookie. I'm not quite sure what it is as I don't eat those often. Maybe it's healthiest just to stay busy so you don't have time to eat garbage. That fruit does look tasty though!
Comment 2018-09-15 15:32:39 @powermaster   That sounds cool too! It would put me a bit closer to actually playing, so that's probably better. I'll send them back in second. :)
Comment 2018-09-15 05:13:06 @raybrockman   That's crazy! Time to hit up the coin store this weekend and load up on whatever they have left. Not that I'm panicking, I just have Stakitus flaring up.
Comment 2018-09-15 05:09:12 @offgridlife   Just re-watched "The Terminal" with Tom Hanks. That's a long time waiting in the terminal with no one telling you what's going on!
Comment 2018-09-15 05:08:18 @glenalbrethsen   I'm logging off soon, but happened to notice that my auto-vote missed you for some reason. I was wondering why I have so much VP. Just gave you a vote. I'll read the article and respond probably sometime tomorrow. Glad to see you back!
Comment 2018-09-15 05:03:57 @redfishelp   That's good to know. it's nice to get involved with projects that have a track record of keeping their promises. I'll have to do more research on your project. Thanks for responding. :)
Comment 2018-09-15 05:02:12 @dinshatech    Fail Better Ha ha, that's funny. I don't know whether to take that as "make your failure more spectacular" or "don't fail quite as much because you're doing better." Regardless, it's a fun exercise for the brain and it's an important reminder to not give up and keep trying to accomplish one's goals.
Comment 2018-09-15 04:56:57 @redfishelp   So if you spend $295 on getting Redfish, you can get 7-10% per month in dividends? That's pretty cool. I'll have to look into this more. That's a good return. Maybe too good.
Comment 2018-09-15 04:54:57 @cryptoribeye   Yeah, well that doesn't look like fun for anyone, except maybe the people getting to watch the photo shoot and laugh at the model and photographer as they take the pictures. Ha ha.
Comment 2018-09-15 04:53:45 @tahmina   That looks like a hot pepper!
Comment 2018-09-15 04:53:18 @ajaycrypto18   That looks like a great list of things and people to invest your money into. Just because it's one of my passions, I thought I'd ask "have you thought of buying silver?" :)
Comment 2018-09-15 04:50:09 @akmal75   The javelin throw looks cool. You do have to be careful not to hit your friends (or strangers) when you're practicing though. You definitely can make money on Steemit, but it takes a lot of work and a lot of time to get there. If you're expecting to get quick money, it probably won't happen. I don't want to discourage you, but to give you reasonable expectations. I posted for over a month with getting minimal results. Even now with the price of Steem so low, it can be difficult. Keep at it and make sure to write quality, original posts and you'll have a place that people will want to come. Make sure to visit other people's blogs and comment with thoughtful, original comments to build a relationship with them. I hope that helps. Good luck on your javelin... and welcome to Steemit!
Comment 2018-09-15 04:45:24 @vignesh1   Right on! Good for you. It can be a stable job that allows you to earn a good wage. All the best in your endeavors! And welcome to Steemit!
Comment 2018-09-15 04:44:06 @chuimui   It seems that you have some great places to shoot that are close to home... and you have a good eye for what would make a great picture!
Comment 2018-09-15 04:42:57 @powermaster   I won a few cards in a contest and most of them were white, so I thought I'd look at your numbers for the white team. It seems like they're a little higher, but overall about the same as the black team. Good to know!
Comment 2018-09-15 04:40:00 @powermaster   Hey, thanks! I appreciate it. I have seen a few videos of practice battles, but the real ones don't start for a few weeks, right? I could see how collecting them could be addicting. You never know what you're going to get in each pack. Have to keep buying until you get the rare ones. :)
Comment 2018-09-15 04:33:24 @cordiform   At least you're watching Andrea Bocelli - Time to Say Goodbye. You can see it right here. It's one of my favorite songs. So sad, but very moving.
Comment 2018-09-15 04:31:30 @solidust   "But I really don't want to be in hardship!"
Comment 2018-09-15 04:30:03 @acyanopsia   I know that feeling! Hate it when that happens.
Comment 2018-09-15 04:29:12 @randchoddas   That makes sense. You need to have your money working for you rather than just working for your money. Once it starts multiplying on its own, then you're getting closer to financial freedom.
Comment 2018-09-15 04:27:42 @chuimui   Can you give us more details about this picture? Like where it was taken or what you went through to capture this image? Even if it's just in your back yard, it's fun to know a little more about the photograph. Just my opinion. It's still a very nice picture.
Comment 2018-09-15 04:26:21 @vignesh1   There are a lot of quotes in your post, but you don't say where they're from. Also, it would be nice to hear some of your thoughts on Engineers and the day to celebrates them. Are you an engineer?
Comment 2018-09-15 04:24:48 @powermaster   I hadn't looked at the prices to see what it would cost to buy a set of cards to build a deck. The prices look reasonable. The Lord of Darkness is the most expensive, but it's all doable. I wonder if it would have been more valuable to get the packs and potentially get rare ones that you could sell though. Hmm.
Comment 2018-09-15 04:20:03 @empress-eremmy   You're doing really well. Let's just say that we'll become whales at the same time. Ha ha. You're welcome to take as long as you want to reply. Don't feel bad about it. Life happens. I've been a few days behind on my replies as well, so I won't start throwing stones. ;)
Comment 2018-09-15 04:17:57 @knowledge-seeker   I did some searching online, but it seems that if there is a market, it's small. It's a US Coast Guard token, so it's probably a very narrow set of people who would be interested. I saw some for sale for around $3.00, but one had been for sale for 11 months, so it doesn't seem the demand is there. I really liked getting to learn about the history of the ship more than the history of the token. It was quite interesting.
Comment 2018-09-15 04:16:18 @jjuuaanchoo   It looks very nice! I wouldn't mind getting one for my collection, but I think they're primarily made out of nickel. If they have silver versions of them, sign me up! How much can one of those coins buy right now?
Comment 2018-09-15 04:12:51 @ronaldoavelino   I agree! Silver would have been 38x better.
Comment 2018-09-15 04:12:09 @mrchef111   I'm having a lot of fun learning about the history behind a lot of these coins and tokens. Some of them I had an idea of the history, but a lot of the more obscure ones, I had no clue. So it's fun to learn new things. Maybe they should have kids do school this way. Just kidding. I don't know. Ha!
Comment 2018-09-15 04:10:42 @ssg-community   Glad to do it. Thank you!
Comment 2018-09-15 04:10:21 @steemitboard   Thanks, SB!
Comment 2018-09-15 04:09:51 @bananamemos   Yes! I knew it! Thanks for confirming. :D
Comment 2018-09-15 04:09:24 @mrchef111   Silicone! That's what they're made of. I couldn't remember and didn't want to look like I didn't know what I was talking about... and ended up looking like I didn't know what I was talking about. ;) With all the chemicals in non-stick, it's best not to use metal, so we need to get a few things like the whisk is some material (like silicone) that won't scratch.
Comment 2018-09-15 04:07:45 @vgholdingsllc   I haven't bought any Steem yet. I know it's supposed to be easy, but I'd have to figure out getting money into an account so I can get it to the exchange, and then get it converted to Steem, then sent to my account. Maybe one day it will be easier to convert cash to Steem. That would be great. The Alpha packs are gone and that was what I was really hoping to get. Maybe if the Beta cards are still good, I'll get the starter. Wait, SteemMonsters gives upvotes if you buy their packs? I didn't know that. I looked at some of the people who have been buying them, but I didn't see upvotes on their posts. I need more info! :)
Comment 2018-09-15 04:05:21 @janton   It depends on what you're trying to accomplish. The Libertads actually tend to have higher premiums than the American Eagles, so you'll get more silver by purchasing the eagles. And Eagles have higher premiums (and sell values) than generic rounds, so it all depends on how much premium you pay to buy, and how much gets taken off when you sell. You have to figure out the "round-trip cost." (Buy price - sell price)
Comment 2018-09-15 04:03:18 @janton   Growth is hard to figure out. It seem like I grow by around 1 Steem per day. Sometime more, but it should be at least 1 Steem per day. That's not too bad. It means in a year I'll have another 365+ Steem. It's not going to make me rich, but it could help my retirement someday if Steem actually takes off. I like not killing myself on Steemit. The payout isn't good enough right now. What I should be doing is getting a part-time job anywhere, even McDonalds and then putting that money into Steem. I'd be miles ahead of where the working on Steem is getting me. Just some thoughts. With Steem at $0.70, if I made $10/hr for 4 hours, I'd take home at least $32 of that. That means I'd be able to buy at least 45 Steem per day by having a little part-time job instead of Steeming all day. 45 per day times 365 is over 16,000 Steem in a year. That's assuming the price stays the same though.
Comment 2018-09-15 03:58:30 @goldkey   Yes, by using the same format that includes the answers in the response, it should make it much easier to score. You just have to verify rather than look it up to see if it's correct. We could start trying to sell "Team A" jerseys and see what happens. I'm just saying. ;)
Comment 2018-09-15 03:57:06 @janton   Yep, that was a funny movie. I haven't seen it in a while, so maybe it's time to find it and give it another go. He just said that he's going to be back around soon.
Comment 2018-09-15 03:55:57 @smithlabs   It's just sad. People should be able to get a wage that allows them to live. And bees should be able to just fly around and find plants to pollinate. I think it should be an automatic sign that you're doing something wrong when the bees die off because there's too much pollution.
Comment 2018-09-15 03:54:00 @goldkey   Well, you can't win them all. I'll just have to try harder on my predictions and we'll see what happens next time! Thanks for the shot, @goldkey!
Comment 2018-09-14 16:09:27 @silveringots   That very pretty! I like the design and the shine. Since it has been slabbed, you probably don't have to worry about it being a counterfeit. That sort of thing should be caught in the appraising process. What a cool collectible piece of blockchain history!
Comment 2018-09-14 16:07:45 @steemcommunity   I'd love to participate. I've been powering up as much as I can and it's nice to see some progress. It's a little slower than I'd like, but it's progress nonetheless. It will be fun to see how my progress goes from week to week.
Comment 2018-09-14 00:06:42 @janton   The top one is the newer version. You can get current year coins with that design. They're probably around $18-$20 each depending on the year you get.
Comment 2018-09-14 00:05:33 @vgholdingsllc   Once I get my power up, that's one of the things that I want to get invested in. However, I have been making progress on increasing the value of my vote, so I don't want to just delegate everything away.
Comment 2018-09-14 00:04:09 @wwf   I think you're right when you talked about removing the fiat valuation of the cryptos. Once people start trading crypto for actual things more often, then we'll see banksters lose even more power. Someone posted on Steemit about selling their car for Steem. Another person posted about how they bought someone lunch in exchange for a Steem Monster. Those types of things will help demonstrate the value of the crypto aside from fiat. If you don't need "dollars" to buy things, why would you care about many dollars it costs?
Comment 2018-09-14 00:00:18 @janton   That's a really fun stage to be at because you know you're close and you can almost taste it, but you're not quite there yet. It's very exciting! I'm happy that you're plugging along so well. You talk with a lot of people, so the more SP you have, the more Steemit is going to grow. :D
Comment 2018-09-13 23:58:45 @mrchef111   Those look delicious! I'm super hungry right now though, so even though I'd eat anything, I'd still rather eat those. Blueberries are the best! Also, I need to get one of those whisks. You're not supposed to use metal whisks in non-stick pans and pots, so we need some that won't scratch it. I don't know why I haven't gotten one sooner. Thanks for the inspiration!
Comment 2018-09-13 23:55:24 @janton   Happy to help out, man. If you have questions, just let me know. I may know, I may not. But we won't know until you ask. :D
Comment 2018-09-13 23:51:30 @janton   As Sir Robin, the Not-Quite-So-Brave-as-Sir-Lancelot would say, I was there just to "pass through." source Actually, I was there for a brief stop and then on my way. I was only there a few days. Glen should be back around soon! Look forward to that. :)
Comment 2018-09-13 23:46:18 @janton   I think you mean Tuco Benedicto Pacífico Juan María Ramírez, aka "The Rat." In that case, I would take Tuco into town to get the bounty, then I would shoot him down when they were going to hang him. We'd get away and the bounty on him would increase. I'm not sure why they never put a bounty on me for it. Ha ha. I was thinking more along the lines of partnering with that guy to take out bad guys or something. Like we'd be on the same team, but it would be legitimate. Yes, I definitely did watch that video! That' why I'm saying that I want to join teams. ;)
Comment 2018-09-13 23:43:12 @janton   Not libtards. Libertads, as in the plural of Libertad which means liberty in Spanish. The newer ones look like this:;=300&height;=300 source And the older ones look like this:;=300&height;=300 source
Comment 2018-09-13 23:40:21 @emergehealthier   Thanks for taking one for the team!
Comment 2018-09-13 23:39:54 @lorilikes   Ha ha, don't overthink it too much. I mean, don't not overthink it, just not too much. We're not really doing our job if we underthink things, right? For instance, why is it that my computer's dictionary knows "overthink" but not "underthink?" Maybe someone who was writing the code underthought how much thinking was required in case someone was overthinking. Thanks for instigating that! Seriously though, when the love/value of a specific thing or outcome becomes greater than people, then trouble is likely to happen. Heck, even if "getting a person" becomes more important than the actual person, it's likely to end poorly.
Comment 2018-09-13 23:35:36 @smithlabs   That's disturbing. I've been to places in the world where it was cheaper to have a dozen people dig a trench than to hire a backhoe to dig it because the machine cost a lot more than $2 per day. It seems like someone would realize that bees could be a lucrative business and start breeding them to rent out as pollinators. Or maybe the bees just die and that's why no one does it.
Comment 2018-09-13 23:33:27 @janton    it seems like you would be advertising how much money you had Like this? ;) Maybe they wear the coins under the shirt. I'm not really sure. I like to not advertise how much money I have, but that's just me. Maybe in some cultures, it was the thing to do, and maybe they had low crime. No clue, man! As a man once said, "I'm just a singer of simple songs" or something like that. :D
Comment 2018-09-13 23:30:45 @janton   On two comments (or posts) per day, they give you an upvote that will make the payout large enough to get past the dust threshold. The vote is 2x what they charge, but the main value is in capturing the value that would otherwise be lost by the dust vote.
Comment 2018-09-13 23:26:42 @kerrislravenhill   Sounds like a good plan to me. I'd like to get some of them as well. I would like to get the gold one, but a silver one would suffice. :)
Comment 2018-09-13 22:40:51 @smithlabs   I think it's really strange that with as technologically-advanced as the Empire is, they don't use many drones. People are expensive because you have to keep paying them salaries, benefits, and feeding them. That all adds up. Plus, you have to have more managers to manage them. And you have to deal with conscription and layoffs. It's just a lot of hassle for an organization as big as the Empire. They have the scout drones and such, but they really should be using more like IG-88. He's made for killing in 10,000 different ways. source
Comment 2018-09-13 22:36:54 @ronaldoavelino   YES! That has been my goal for the last 8 years of my life, to get a coin or token you didn't have. Just kidding, obviously. :P Silver casino tokens are cool too! I have two of them. I showcased them a while back. and
Comment 2018-09-13 22:35:18 @fat-elvis   Nailed it!
Comment 2018-09-13 22:34:54 @dixiesilverminer   Do you do the live pour on SSG discord? Or do you have your own discord channel? I can imagine it would be a little overwhelming. Endless possibilities of pours. :)
Comment 2018-09-13 22:31:42 @emergehealthier    I am busy stuffing my face, oops, I mean researching tomorrow's topic, Cream Filled Donut Day. Dang, maybe I should start doing some posts on food like you do. The research part sounds fascinating!
Comment 2018-09-13 22:30:36 @welshstacker   That's a pretty good deal! In 3 years you can sell one to more than cover the cost of buying all four. I'd say that's a good investment.
Comment 2018-09-13 22:25:54 @janton   No, I really was in Colorado in 2016. I just wasn't in Cloud City. Glen has been helping his wife with things around the house while she recovers. At least that's what it was last I heard. I'll drop him a line and see how things are going.
Comment 2018-09-13 22:24:18 @janton   I'm good, but I don't know I'm that fast. I would have to talk to the director and see about slowing him down so I don't get keeeled. Or I could just make sure that we're on the same side and he can help me out.
Comment 2018-09-13 22:23:09 @janton   You don't have to have them, but you're more than welcome to if you so choose. Some of them have nice designs that are pleasing to the eye and provide security for the wallet if so needed. I recommend the current run of Libertads if you're so inclined. That's just my opinion though!
Comment 2018-09-13 22:18:09 @britcoin   I'm missing your videos, so I went back to look at the other ones. I'm seeing the current coins only have a $4.00 markup per ounce on some sites and thinking that in a few years time, they will have the same much higher markups that the Griffin and Lion have now. It can pay to invest early!
Comment 2018-09-13 22:16:30 @britcoin   I don't know why, but even on the royal mint website, they don't list the Griffin coin. When I was looking at this one, I noticed that they don't say the Griffin has been released yet. I wonder why that is.
Comment 2018-09-13 22:13:18 @britcoin   Already seeing these for pre-sale on Provident Metals. The prices aren't too bad either. It's a $3.49 premium per ounce.
Comment 2018-09-13 19:59:51 @kerrislravenhill   When you say "Onza" are you talking about the older Libertads? Like this one?;=300&height;=300 source Just curious because some people call Libertads "Onzas" since Onza is Spanish for ounce... and it says Onza on the Libertads
Comment 2018-09-13 19:53:51 @goldkey   Whoops, my bad. Sorry about that. I figured since the Ravens were option A that I could do that. I'll make sure to include the team name next time. Team A probably isn't going to sell many jerseys, but the Ravens might. ;) Have a good one!
Comment 2018-09-13 19:52:12 @paddington   Interesting that the transaction isn't actually completed and "withdrawn" from the sender's wallet until you complete it. Thanks for the clarification!
Comment 2018-09-13 19:50:33 @janton   From what I've read, yes actually. A number of the coins were designed to by put on a strong so you could wear them and not lose them. I guess that was before wallets and coin purses.
Comment 2018-09-13 19:49:45 @gdwcoins   Even better. It's something that you'll be able to sell and make a profit on. How long do the markets go? What do you do when the markets close?
Comment 2018-09-13 19:49:00 @smithlabs   That's good you haven't had to use your gun. Hopefully you never need to. Yes, I think that the Empire would have done a lot better if they had simply decided to use armor that could stop blasters. Or they could have just sent the troopers out without armor (like many of the Rebels) and they would have died just as quickly, but the Empire could have spent that money on other weapons and things to defeat the Rebels. I'm just saying...
Comment 2018-09-13 19:46:03 @janton   Dustsweeper has been really helpful in getting those votes paid out. When I got low on SBD, I wasn't getting my votes, but now I'm recharged and getting voted again.
Comment 2018-09-13 19:44:33 @ronaldoavelino   I'm glad I could show you a bit of history. :)
Comment 2018-09-13 19:44:06 @lynncoyle1   The history aspect has been one of the coolest things about this adventure. I get to learn about things that I wasn't aware of previous to getting the coins/tokens. Yeah, I tend to google words or phrases on the coins and see what comes up. Numista has been a reliable site, so if there's a result from them, I normally use that one. It also means the information available is more consistent than if I were jumping around from site to site. The one coin I had from Taiwan that didn't have any letters I recognized was harder to figure out, but I was able to find the exact coin. It's fun doing the little treasure hunts!
Comment 2018-09-13 19:40:09 @elzia   Hello, It seems that you're new to Steemit, so I'm going to help you out. One of the best ways to grow your account is to comment on people's blogs with "relevant" comments. Once they see that you actually care about what they're writing and that you're not just trying a "follow-for-follow" scam that is absolutely worthless on Steemit, then they might check out your blog. Take the time to actually read the posts you're viewing, and write quality, original comments. That's the best way to succeed here. Just my opinion. You can take it or leave it. From past experience, you probably won't even read this comment. Still, good luck!
Comment 2018-09-13 19:35:21 @lorilikes   Hey, I was actually just thinking about you today. I was wondering where you happened off to. Glad to see you're still around. :) The phrase "Money is the root of all evil" (and variants thereof) are common, but I don't think that any of them are right. That's similar to what you concluded. The actual phrase from the King James version of the Bible is "the love of money is the root of all evil." 1 Timothy 6:10 When the verse is correctly recalled, it gives much more clarity as to why the evil exists. When someone cares more about money than others, they are greedy and do things like embezzle, or steal, or defraud. The love of money can lead a person to do all sorts of evil things. The money itself isn't evil. It can be used for evil though. I think your conclusion that money is a tool is appropriate. Your look into the origins of money is appropriate because the thinking behind how it got started can lead us to have a better view of money and how it should be used. Maybe. Maybe not. Maybe we all just keep loving the money and forgetting to do good and not evil. Or maybe we actually change. Time will tell.
Comment 2018-09-13 15:28:18 @ronaldoavelino   Hey, those are super fancy. The gold in the coin really attracts the eyes. And it seems that you have the set of them. Nice, man!
Comment 2018-09-13 15:25:00 @fat-elvis   That' pretty good for having it sit there three days. What are you going to do with the profits? Lambo time? Jk, jk.
Comment 2018-09-13 15:22:27 @dragosroua   It's almost like they were late to the party, but wanted to look like geniuses who could get great returns on crypto as well, so they decided to bash crypto relentlessly for months on end to drive the prices down. Now that the prices are down, they're happy to open their doors to offer crypto investment services. Nah, that couldn't be it. That would be wrong!
Comment 2018-09-13 15:19:54 @silveringots   Thanks, @silveringots! I got an airdrop. That's going to get powered up! I have not been doing as well this round as I haven't been around as much, but I'm going to have to do better as it's embarrassing to see my points so low. Ha ha. I'm glad that more people have been joining in!
Comment 2018-09-13 15:16:42 @emergehealthier   "Tomorrow is national 'have a maid come clean your kitchen' day. If you haven't scheduled already, you might be too late." Ha ha.
Comment 2018-09-13 15:15:27 @welshstacker   That is a nice return if you chose to sell. And it wouldn't be a bad time to cash in either because the prices are low, so you'd be able to get a stack of shiny from selling one of those. Those Pandas are also 1 ounce coins. A lot of the ones that I've seen have been 30 grams. Good finds. I haven't been collecting long enough to have had mine go up in value. It's been less than a year and the prices have been dropping, so I think most of mine are under water right now. That's ok though because I'm planning on holding on them for a while.
Comment 2018-09-13 15:02:54 @o07   Don't be scared the "Animated Corpse" he wouldn't hurt a fly...
