Comment 2018-07-17 02:08:33 @mirrors   With all the phishing scams going on right now, I'd advise not to touch any comment that you are unsure of.
Comment 2018-07-17 01:58:33 @mirrors   There's about a 30 minute difference between your comment and the one from curie lol
Comment 2018-07-17 01:55:03 @mirrors   You've got an eye for talent @mirrors; your third feature just got a curie vote :)
Comment 2018-07-17 01:48:48 @hitmeasap   hahaha perfect! Why not? Right?! :)
Comment 2018-07-17 01:45:30 @byn   It was very funny! Love that the girl had the same reaction, no typical tears and whiny kind of stuff :) That's my kinda girl right there haha
Comment 2018-07-17 01:42:45 @janton   You're such a teatotaler :)
Comment 2018-07-17 01:25:24 @goldendawne   Happy Anniversary @goldendawne :) Golden D Has Got Her Groove! haha I think you've always had it, but delegating is a pretty awesome groove addition! My OCD totally understands your need to stick with 2000 also...there's something so clean about an even number like that :) I've been involved as a judge in a Pay it Forward Curation Contest for weeks now, hosted by thedarkhorse. It's a curation contest where entrants need to curate two posts and as judges (there's 4 of us), we of course read the entry post and upvote/comment on their curated posts as well. It's in its 15th week I believe now. thedarkhorse created a pifc (pay it forward contest) account now where we have been trying to build up SP, so perhaps one day soon the contest can be run from that account. If you are one day feeling the groove for that :)

Comment 2018-07-17 00:57:03 @irvinesimages   If anything good has come from all of this @irvinesimages, it's that your being used all over the place (and your post of course) as an example for others to learn from. I love how this community can really come together when it counts. And from what I've seen, Paul has done plenty to make a dad proud ❤️ Sent with Fast-Reply

Comment 2018-07-17 00:47:03 @jessicaoutside   There are so many spectacular spots in BC @jessicaoutside, but sometimes when you find one, you just stick with it! Thank you for your kind words regarding Brian. It is of course difficult, but making the decision to come here has been the best thing. It was always in our plans, we just did it sooner than later. I am continually in awe of the support we have received from our steemit peeps; I have never been involved with any other social media platform that comes close to what goes on here! I really appreciate your offer here as well! That's so very kind of you ❤️ Isla Mujeres is wonderful too; enjoy yourself way toooo much 😎 So nice to connect with you as well! Comment 2018-07-17 00:34:51 @gillianpearce   Yes it is @gillianpearce. We've been having a bit of an issue with seaweed this year; excess of. I'm working on a post about it, but it's gotten pretty gross in some areas. Overall though, still beautiful!

Comment 2018-07-17 00:05:00 @janton   Tough choice indeed. You're the one who has to comfortably rest his head on the pillow at night. My conscience is clear :)
Comment 2018-07-17 00:04:12 @hitmeasap   hahaha NOOOOOOOO!!! I have a thing for clowns; they scare me, so Chucky is right up their with the creepiest. When the movies were really popular, my youngest son wouldn't step foot in our local Blockbuster (DVD rentals...haha remember when?!); He was so afraid of even the face on the cover lol
Comment 2018-07-17 00:02:18 @galenkp   That's such a beautiful photo of Faith and your niece!! The one your in is not bad either ;) Doesn't it almost leave you speechless what your heart can feel for the little thing?! Of course, Mr. Tough Guy, you will be a blubbering mess when you leave; so you should be :) Enjoy!
Comment 2018-07-16 23:55:48 @shibasaki   Once again, so beautiful @shibasaki! Thank you for showing your process as well, especially the use of pen mixed with the watercolor. I had no idea that effect was possible. I love this! I'm going to pass this on to c-squared again; it's just so beautiful. Have you ever received a curie vote? Just curious :)
Comment 2018-07-16 23:50:00 @unyimeetuk   Awww thank you so much @unyimeetuk. That little sentence makes everything I do here so worthwhile to me :)
Comment 2018-07-16 23:44:27 @janton   Thanks for the post @janton! The treatment of the Natives and the buffalo just kills me .... so horrible. Enter the lawmen! Looking forward to the next installment :)
Comment 2018-07-16 23:42:24 @willymac   It nearly killed me seeing that photo @willymac! Such despicable behaviour; so sad. How are you doing by the way? Haven't had a chance to talk with you lately :)
Comment 2018-07-16 23:39:57 @janton   hahahaha I think it's the other way around!!! You were a regular pain in my behind....and then you also came in first place!!! geesh! :)
Comment 2018-07-16 23:39:12 @beeyou   Hey @beeyou! Poor Michael, I saw his post. Thank goodness apolymask knew what to do, although he's still out his hard earned sbd. And geez, all kinds of flagging going on too! I was putting @guiltyparties' post in as many discord rooms as I could yesterday because there were so many getting hit and freaking out, but like you said, totally not worth the worry. I found it a perfect example of someone (s?) with way too much time on their hands! Hope you're doing well my friend! :)
Comment 2018-07-16 22:58:57 @daily-musings   Hey @daily-musings, glad to hear how things are going with you! I've been wondering :) I love the lyrics here, and your story of growth is a poignant one! But where is your lovely voice here?? :)
Comment 2018-07-16 22:56:39 @gjones15   I hear you loud and clear @gjones15! On the THC as well haha He's actually stopped taking a lot of the opiates in favor of the CBD. The others had so many side effects as well as affecting his moods in a very negative way. Only when absolutely necessary does he fall back on them, but truthfully, the CBD has been great. We've even learned to make our own and save piles of money that way too. I really appreciate you stopping by and all the info. It kind of confirms what we were feeling :) Thank you!
Comment 2018-07-16 22:53:15 @gillianpearce    I'm having a big rethink this week of what I want to do on Steemit Uh oh! I'm feeling a deja vu here :) You should talk to Asher, I'm sure he'd be able to pull some numbers for you!
Comment 2018-07-16 22:51:18 @simplymike   Please don't be ashamed for posting that here! If we rank all of our complaints, we'll never get to whine about anything because there will always be those worse off :) You're pretty amazing too and would be dearly missed by me and many others if you ever were such a big baby as to leave all together :)
Comment 2018-07-16 22:49:45 @mariannewest   That's exactly how I feel @mariannewest!
Comment 2018-07-16 22:49:03 @mariannewest   Oh no @mariannewest, I'm so very sorry to hear about your brother in law! Life really can be so unfair, can't it! I never have a problem talking about it; in fact, it helps me to do so. Please don't hesitate to ask anytime. Thank you again. Sending my best to you and your family as well <3
Comment 2018-07-16 22:46:24 @paulag   Awww @paulag, thank you so much for that! It's funny, but I've been called "brave" and "strong", but I don't feel that way :) It's just become my normal and I do what I do. My dad always says, "Well, you know it's not normal, don't you?" :) Thank you seriously for your kind words, thoughts and hugs! I'll take them all! <3
Comment 2018-07-16 22:44:36 @janton   haha no, I take Sundays off most weeks, and I did steemit this morning, but Brian felt good, so we went out for a few hours this afternoon! I would never avoid you! :)
Comment 2018-07-16 22:37:30 @crypto-econom1st   Oops, and I understand what you are saying about comments :) But what were you getting at that I should do differently; truthfully, I haven't looked that closely at the tables. And just so you know, glenalbrethsen is back in the race this week for prizes :)
Comment 2018-07-16 22:36:18 @crypto-econom1st   Well, I'm glad to hear it, because there's no way I can do more than 4 posts per week tops! We had a nice few hours out; walked had a snack and a drink by the ocean, it was perfect. It is the hottest time of year here though, so we are both exhausted now :)
Comment 2018-07-16 18:56:09 @crypto-econom1st   without looking, I'm going to say increasing my own posts? But I'm just heading out with Brian (he has some energy and I must take advantage of it :) And yes, by commenting here, it's adding to the tallys :) Clever.
Comment 2018-07-16 18:52:33 @themanwithnoname   hahaha I thought it was very funny! and yay, Glen's going to overthrow the reigning king :)

Comment 2018-07-16 18:40:39 @buckaroo   Just for being you I'd say :)
Comment 2018-07-16 18:31:39 @crypto-econom1st   Yes I do. What's this?
Comment 2018-07-16 18:16:30 @wolfhart   awww thank you @wolfhart! Your comment to Asher made me legit LOL :)
Comment 2018-07-16 18:11:21 @bashadow   Congratulations to you @bashadow! I made the other leagues just one time, and I was shocked, but pleasantly surprised :)
Comment 2018-07-16 17:45:51 @janton   hahaha me and my feet can take whatever you want to dish out :) Now, aren't you worried that the weeds are going to just have the run of the place soon? What critters will be livin' in them thar tall weeds? Aren't you afraid for your family? My god man, get outside and get some work done!! :)
Comment 2018-07-16 17:43:12 @janton   Thank you @janton! You did an amazing job again this past week!!! :)
Comment 2018-07-16 17:41:21 @glenalbrethsen   Oh Glen, we both know that you are capable of coming in first again! Like me, I think you're neck was tired on constantly on the swivel, watching your back haha And I can't believe I did not mention @themanwithoname's personal tribute. Comment 2018-07-16 17:31:06 @themanwithnoname   As you know, I'm no coin expert, but this is another pretty one ... and it's not silver :) Hope you get some answers here though!

Comment 2018-07-16 16:19:48 @mirrors   You are most welcome! I believe that it didn't take you long to write it either; I am the same way when the words hit me :) Now that you are developing a following, you should consider to write more creatively. Comment 2018-07-16 14:20:42 @kaliju   Sorry I missed that you were in the hospital!! That's a hefty price tag for sure, so I gave my 100% upvote which doesn't amount to too much haha, but am sending a little love via my wallet as well! Wishing you well @kaliju :)
Comment 2018-07-16 14:04:18 @byn   bahaha I love it!! Ahhh the days of forgetting someone's name :) Well written @byn! I'm forwarding this to c-squared (a mini-curie run by some of the same folks); hope they pay you a visit!
Comment 2018-07-16 14:02:51 @jaynie   Right? Most just think that :)
Comment 2018-07-16 14:00:00 @foxyspirit   I remember being unbelievably tired when the kids were little, and with that kind of exhaustion comes teary-eyed, lack of patience, and wishing for things impossible :) Hope you get some good sleep soon! And it may not seem like it now, but trust me when I say, some days seem so damn long, but in the end, the years are terribly short. <3
Comment 2018-07-16 13:57:06 @foxyspirit   Thank you @foxyspirit, and I'm so sorry to hear that you are now in the position to support as well. They're terrible shoes to stand in, and you're right, sometimes finding the "right" words is a difficult thing, but perhaps it's because there are none. Brian hates pity, if that is helpful at all. Continue to take care of yourself, because it's easy to get lost in the process. And yes, this community has been so supportive and loving. I continue to be in awe. Lots of love to you and yours during this time as well <3

Comment 2018-07-16 13:47:42 @maverickinvictus   I'm so sorry for that @maverickinvictus! But your comment made me teary eyed too...so I suppose we're even. I think we keep making each other cry when it comes to these posts <3 Thank you so very much for your kind words and for recognizing what I go through with all of this; that means more to me than I can say. Thank you for always making me laugh, because sometimes, this life can be way too serious. I appreciate you adding humor here especially; just because this is all our normal, doesn't mean we can't joke a little about it all too. (I'm sending you a private msg too)

And just so you know, you'll never "ruin the mood" and can ask me about Brian anytime! It's a part of my life, just like breathing and can be treated as "normal"...if that makes any sense! Thank you again for your kindness, your prayers and your thoughtfulness <3<3

Comment 2018-07-16 13:30:57 @wolfhart   Thank you for making me laugh and smile throughout all of this! We do look pretty good there, don't we? :) One day at a time. Good advice @wolfhart. I used to stress about the future, what will I do? What's going to happen? but I figured out that one day at a time is the only way to survive this journey we're on. Thank you for the prayers and wishes too <3

Send me a private message so we don't air out our dirty laundry here in public :) Thank you again, your words are unforgettable to me as well! Comment 2018-07-16 13:21:51 @gillianpearce   Thank you @gillianpearce! I am back to "normal", whatever that is :) but coping again for sure. I think sometimes I fight the current, so to speak, instead of just rolling with it. Acceptance. It's easier that way for sure. As always, we appreciate the "heaps of love"! <3
Comment 2018-07-16 13:20:03 @denmarkguy   That's beautiful, thank you @denmarkguy!
Comment 2018-07-16 13:18:12 @janton   Thank you @janton, we appreciate the prayers. He has pills for the pain, but sometimes they offer enough side effects that Brian tries to go without. Catch-22 kind of thing. Thank you again <3

Comment 2018-07-16 13:00:24 @irvinesimages   Awww Michael, I'm so sorry that this happened to you, but also thankful @apolymask knew what to do! There's a lot of it going around right now; phishing scams like this, flagging...mostly things where people have way too much time on their hands! Were you able to recover your sbd at all? I just feel sick for you!
Comment 2018-07-16 12:55:51 @wolfhart   Glad to hear you got some sleep and are feeling better @wolfhart! Keep up the witness talk too; it's a good thing :) Hopefully the other stuff with end soon as well...
Comment 2018-07-16 12:54:00 @simplymike   Things are looking up a bit on my balcony; I must be doing a better job, now that my plants aren't committing suicide haha Stay tuned :)
Comment 2018-07-16 12:51:45 @bengy   First of all, your daughters are beautiful! From the sounds of things, you have everything to be proud of, including what you give to your girls...and I'm not talking monetary things, but mostly your time and understanding. That's what kids really appreciate as they get older. My boys are now 20 and 23, and they don't have a great relationship with their father (my ex) because he was always working and didn't spend time with them, but he bought them stuff. I on the other hand, did all kinds of things with them and didn't buy them a whole lot (we too lived among those with more money and sometimes growing up, my kids felt a little 'ripped off'), and today, we have an awesome relationship. My youngest texted me yesterday: "Thanks for being a great mom. Grateful I can talk to you about whatever and there's no judgement." That's what it's all about. You're a great dad for even recognizing what you did here! It'll return to you ten-fold buddy :)
Comment 2018-07-16 12:42:18 @watersnake101   I LOVE the look of this place!! And the food looks wonderful too :) Thank you for sharing all the great photos...so awesome @watersnake101. I've shared this post with c-squared too; hope they stop by!

Comment 2018-07-15 21:32:51 @jessicaoutside   I just read your intro post! So so awesome! My husband, @briancourteau and I are actually from Vancouver, but prior, I lived in the interior of BC for years and love Big White! Did you ever make it to Sun Peaks outside of Kamloops? So worth a visit!!! Tulum is magic, isn't it? I always knew the Mayans were pretty clever, and the history at Tulum is wonderful, but after a tour of Chichen Itza, I have been in awe of what they accomplished! My husband and I actually sold everything in Vancouver and came here to enjoy life; he is unfortunately sick (cancer), and we decided several years ago, that it was time to jump off of the hamster wheel. Kudos for doing the same :)
Comment 2018-07-15 18:02:42 @paulag   You're so welcome @paulag! And hooray, c-squared popped by :) They love a good curation post!

He told me last week that he'd be spending less time on steemit because of all the things he's been neglecting outside at his place. Wow, if that's what less time looks like, we're all doomed to never see first place again :)

Comment 2018-07-15 05:56:09 @gillianpearce   hahaha @gillianpearce, I get it!! When my ex and I split, we had a big house and I cleansed big time. Then when Brian and I moved in together, I had another pretty big house, and did a second purge. Since then, I've been tossing things until of course our final move here. All I have left is a storage locker and what we store in our 5th wheel/RV back home. My kids are lucky I guess 😅Sent with Fast-Reply

Comment 2018-07-15 05:21:48 @elmicta   Wow, you really are a busy guy! I grew up on a farm in Canada, and know that it is not easy work at all! I found your post because @viking-ventures featured you in a contest where I'm one of the judges :) Nice work!
Comment 2018-07-15 05:18:24 @anyisol   These are awesome! What a cute idea, and the recipe looks super easy too :) I found your post because @viking-ventures featured you in our Pay it Forward contest (I'm one of the judges), but as a curator for asapers, I noticed it featured there too! Congratulations :)
Comment 2018-07-15 05:17:12 @viking-ventures   Love your choices @viking-ventures! The 'steemit buns' are pretty cool :) I'm off to spread some upvoting and commenting love to them both; thanks for your entry too! :)
Comment 2018-07-15 05:07:51 @janton   Comment contest: He gives you the post to comment on and you just have to copy and paste that comment into his post. That's your entry. Easy. And yes, the prizes are amazing. So if within 3 weeks you are this far along, I'd stick with it. That's incredible! On steemworld look for Tools: And here's a post by @bashadow, explaining how to use it. You know where to find me if you get stuck :)
Comment 2018-07-15 05:04:51 @profanereviews   It's all good now I think. No worries whatsoever :)

Comment 2018-07-15 04:58:42 @themanwithnoname   You're a lucky man! I think I tagged you lol but I didn't know you had to resteem their rules every week. I never did it once :) I'm not a fan of resteeming either.
Comment 2018-07-15 04:52:24 @guiltyparties   Yes, I was fortunate in that respect. I've been sharing this post in a few discord channels as well; try and spread the word that help is on the way :) Thanks again for taking this on!
Comment 2018-07-15 04:41:48 @jbreheny   Thank you, I will. I just wrote a post today with a few more details about him if you're interested. I just saw that post too, thanks. I was shocked to see so many accounts on their spreadsheet; it's a sign that some people have way too much time on their hands! I'm glad c-squared stopped by. It's not much, but it's acknowledgement for a job well done :) Enjoy!!
Comment 2018-07-15 04:38:00 @themanwithnoname   hahaha Stakitus! Now I understand!! :) You're lucky to have such an understanding wife so you don't have to resort to sneaking around, hiding silver in basement cupboards and garage drawers to tip toe off to when she least expects it! Nice job @themanwithnoname! These comedyopenmic bits are hard, but you successfully did it :)

Comment 2018-07-15 02:50:30 @wolfhart   Awww I'm sorry to hear that you are paying for all of your hard work @wolfhart. I was actually wondering about you today when I didn't see you around too much. The flagging is all bs right now. Not sure what or who is behind it all, but it's kind of you to support those who are being affected by it. I sincerely hope you feel better soon, although I know the pain that you normally live with and know it is a burden.
Comment 2018-07-15 02:27:03 @asapers   woohoo! Fine choices and look at the post payout too :) Very exciting @asapers!! Congratulations @itravelarts, @porters and @unyimeetuk :)

And I love your comments about commenting at the end of your post too :) I found your post because @angelacs featured you in her entry to our Pay it Forward Contest; please consider joining us too ;)

Comment 2018-07-15 01:53:57 @angelacs   Thank you so much for the entry @angelacs! I've been judging this contest since the get go, and have loved seeing all the different entries; yours is now included with that as well :) Love the look of that first one, but I'm going to have a look at both first hand right now :)
Comment 2018-07-15 01:42:54 @janton   Ok, sbi first: This is their profile : Social Experiment to provide every Steemian with Basic Income It's not a bot, but run by one nice guy ;) By supporting others, you also support yourself. So for example, let's say you win the Pay It Forward Contest (pifc), as one of the judges, I purchase one sbi for you, but by doing that, it also gives one to me. That's how mine is big already. It's actually a really nice idea. I don't know if you can actually buy them for yourself. I had a look in your wallet (heehee) and I'd say you are doing very well for joining so recently. I find it's a slow and steady wins the race kind of thing here. I have about 375 SP myself, but have been fortunately delegated to by a few different people, so it's higher. But they can undelegate (take their SP back) at any time. @danielsaori runs a great comment challenge contest with some great prizes; you should check it out. Here's the latest winner's post; have a look at third place and all the prizes :) Getting to 500 SP allows you to use a percentage slider, so every one of your votes doesn't have to be 100% . It does make it easier to have your voting power last longer. If you use steemworld.org, there's a way to do that even it you don't have 500 SP. Let me know if you want more information on that :)
Comment 2018-07-14 23:59:24 @janton   Witty and no wine...yet :) I thought you might like that one haha The prize is a @steembasicmembership(sbi); we judges pay 1 steem for the winner to get one and sbi gives you upvotes for life on your posts. The more of those you get, the higher their upvotes from them. My upvote from them on every post i write is about .20 now. So it's worth it. I've never bought steem and choose to grow organically. Takes time, but it's possible. Through things like asher's contest, I've been able to power up a lot of steem, as I'm assuming you do too?
Comment 2018-07-14 23:53:48 @el-nailul   Wow! What an interesting post, and no, not boring or too long at all! I have cooked for large crowds before, but nothing like this! Congratulations for being successful at it and for sharing with us. And congratulations on the curie (not curry haha) vote too! That's awesome :) I found your post because @freedomshift featured you in the contest again :) Nice job!!

Comment 2018-07-14 23:36:39 @janton   hahaha yes, the hat would balance my feet for sure. That's why I was so sad when bell bottoms went out of style and skinny jeans came in :) I'm glad you saw that about buckaroo! I'm one of the judges in that contest and was pleased to see you featured. You're really making a name for yourself buddy :) Sometimes real life gets in the way of our steemit fun, doesn't it? :)

Comment 2018-07-14 23:27:33 @trincowski   Again! You've found two more great artists! A firefighter and an artist; what an interesting mix! And the second one made me think of this classic photo from National Geographic, years ago. Thank you for another great entry @trincowski ;)
Comment 2018-07-14 23:22:21 @whatsup    I am saying appreciate the differences. A good lesson in life and on steemit :) If only everyone could just do this one simple thing. Just imagine!
Comment 2018-07-14 23:16:21 @profanereviews   I'm dying to hear the story of how he just showed up again! Nice improv with the beer cans by the way. That's how we Canadians roll while camping :) As far as I can tell, you remembered to bring all the essentials :)
Comment 2018-07-14 23:14:27 @livinguktaiwan   I've always know the history of it, but seeing your pictures really hits it all home! So bizarre and so unfair for a lot of people. It's just crazy, isn't it?!! Wake up one day and see a wall out your window, dictating where you can no longer go! Thanks for sharing these photos!!
Comment 2018-07-14 23:04:48 @paulag   What a great post @paulag! So great of you to feature someone like this :) Nice note at the end to ned too haha I'm passing your post along to c-squared in the hopes that they pay you a visit :)
Comment 2018-07-14 23:02:42 @themanwithnoname   Wow, that's big! I was getting so excited with your 'lead-up' photos, nice job. I can only imagine your excitement :) What did you win the prize from? It's awesome! (by the way, I just wrote a post with an update about Brian; thought you might want to read it. That sounds so cryptic and it's not meant as such. You're a good friend and always ask about him is all ;)
Comment 2018-07-14 22:55:39 @blockurator   hahaha boy, I should right a book about the tractor games I grew up with :)
Comment 2018-07-14 22:54:30 @buckaroo   Thank you for the entry @buckaroo and for your kind words to me specifically :) I'm unfamiliar with your first blogger, but @janton is a kick!! I'm so glad that you included him :) I actually commented on this post of his before, and he now has two more out about the "working girls" of the same era. Pretty interesting stuff. And yes, he can comment like crazy! Thanks again for the entry and for supporting and finding value in this contest :)
Comment 2018-07-14 22:51:21 @blockurator   Seeing as I grew up on a farm and became an English teacher, you've got me hook, line and sinker with this one :) As usual however, I have about 10 different things going on at the moment, so I'm saving this to read a little later and will comment again then :) Farmpunk. Who knew? :)
Comment 2018-07-14 22:48:27 @maverickinvictus   Great job compiling all of these Mave!
Comment 2018-07-14 22:47:42 @unyimeetuk   Now that you are a member of asapers, just use "#asapers" as one of your post tags, and we'll see it :)
Comment 2018-07-14 22:45:03 @abh12345   Takes one to know one :)
Comment 2018-07-14 21:59:48 @derangedvisions   Hey there @derangedvisions; great contest idea! And I've recently discovered @zipporah and love her work :) I'll be back with a submission, but wanted to tag @rwedegis and @traciyork here to see what you've got going on ;)
Comment 2018-07-14 21:57:12 @janton   $30 a night was sure a lot of money back then! And yes, that's a big hat, but I love it; I love the clothes back then too! :) Thanks for another interesting historical read @janton ;)
Comment 2018-07-14 21:53:24 @galenkp   I didn't realize that Finland stayed so light during this time of year. Yes, I know that's not the point of your post :) I always looked forward to returning to school (as a teacher, not a student haha) after summer holidays. When you enjoy your work, it obviously makes a difference. I always feel sorry for those who 'hate' their jobs, although I never really understand why they stay at it, if that's the case. Glad to hear the holiday has gone so well. I bet you can't wait to see your cats :)
Comment 2018-07-14 21:50:36 @mirrors   Safe travels @mirrors :)
Comment 2018-07-14 21:45:42 @traciyork   how do I keep missing these?!! I'm sorry to hear about all this shit going on @traciyork! Man, sometimes life is not very fair! At least you have a couple of good doctors to help sort it all out.
Comment 2018-07-14 21:05:12 @achristopherart   Wow! I'm so glad that you sobered up and took the bull by the horns with this one!! Love it :) Congratulations on the curie as well! You totally deserve it :)
Comment 2018-07-14 20:38:51 @unyimeetuk   Another beauty!
Comment 2018-07-14 09:22:48 @mirrors   Your poetry and creative writing is what I was drawn to when we first met; I've missed it :) This is beautiful! My love remains without reasons, without seasons. That is love.
Comment 2018-07-14 07:04:45 @glenalbrethsen   Where I generalize, you hit on specifics. Beautifully, I might add. I've been semi-following the steemmonsters thing, and I see others gaming hard, yet today, I had a "friend" here from Uganda in desperate need of money because they must pay 3-5 months' rent at one time. She's just finished university, can't find a job in the capital city, doing research for lazy wealthier students to survive, and doesn't want to go back to her village because there is a future of an arranged marriage, children and hard work to make ends meet day to day. An intelligent woman, and this is her future. And there's steemmonsters. I hear you loud and clear Glen. Am I "dissing" steemmonsters? Not really. Just because half the planet suffers, should our young, fortunate to have been born in a wealthier part of the world, have to suffer as well. No. But yes. How about just be aware, and if we are actually on a platform that can make a difference, why isn't everyone doing just that? Has it always been as such, and now we are literally having conversations with people around the world, so it's much harder to ignore the hardships that others face? Although, according to your summation, there are plenty of 30 something year olds who are doing just that. It's a sad state of affairs. I wonder if a few of us see it as a tug of war, but really, there's no tug and no war, because there's too many without a clue, or with a clue and just don't care. sigh
Comment 2018-07-14 06:16:24 @glenalbrethsen   Alright, I too am going with Door #2. Here is the problem as I see it. There are those who will always selfishly take advantage of freedom/liberty/decentralizaton while the other optimists (like me clears throat), sits back and thinks, "isn't this wonderful? A utopia! Finally! We can trust others to behave in this new and amazing decentralized world!!!" And even still, those who see the wrongs being done and say, "who is going to take care of this sacrilege?" , all the while, helplessly throwing their arms up in the air. It's a weird mix of bits of real life here, with a big dash of selfless visionaries and the selfish trying to make a buck. And no one fully responsible for any of it, because we are all supposed to be responsible for ourselves. Which as you know, only seems to work for some.
Comment 2018-07-14 05:25:45 @glenalbrethsen   Yikes! How do I erase this stuff????
Comment 2018-07-14 04:43:39 @wolfhart   I don't doubt that for a second!!
Comment 2018-07-14 04:42:54 @janton   Are you kidding me?! I would love that! Brian and I are huge fans of Earp and Doc Holiday!! Dodge is the place, that's for sure! Remember, I just look young lol but I'm an old soul everywhere else :)
Comment 2018-07-14 04:39:27 @glenalbrethsen   Not the kind of strategy I like either. It's a bit of a wait and see, then if/when the problem gets bigger, it's that much more difficult to clean up. I would think that any account who is randomly and without cause, flagging posts, should be stopped. Period. But what do I know? Have a good night Glen. On that sorry note, I'm closing up shop for the night :)
Comment 2018-07-14 04:34:51 @cicisaja   haha I just read through the comments between him and you. Nice job teacher!! :)
Comment 2018-07-14 04:31:45 @roleerob    I have never been online before now (May 14th) No kidding?!! Well then, you are doing splendidly sir :) You know where to find me if you ever need questions answered; I'll do my best to help.
Comment 2018-07-14 04:29:21 @janton   You're welcome! When you get ginabot set up, let me know, because there's a way to get into your settings to add people's names. I'll fill you in then ;) Happy to help you get more efficient!
Comment 2018-07-14 04:26:45 @pifc   I'm curious to hear about this new contest your teasing us with ;) Thanks to @bjgeese, @anlurob, @roleerob, @erodedthoughts and @energyaddict22 for the generous delegations!! Such a huge help and kind gesture too!!
Comment 2018-07-14 04:20:54 @cicisaja   Thank you for the entry @cicisaja! I'm curious about your second person because I'm from Vancouver too! :) As always, my voting power insists that I wait until tomorrow to view them haha , but thank you for being such a great supporter of this contest!
Comment 2018-07-14 04:14:39 @freedomshift   Thank you again for another entry @freedomshift! I'm so glad that you included @coder-bts; I was curious when you last mentioned him. have no idea what he is talking about and would have to do some research if I am so inclined. But, I am not ... hahaha that's funny! Nor do I, but talent is talent! And of course @el-nailul again; I'm so glad! As usual, my voting power is dreadful, but I will get to your featured bloggers for sure! :)
Comment 2018-07-14 04:07:21 @abh12345   Good for them; it would be such a cool thing to do! Fair enough! I hope France beats them too 😅Sent with Fast-Reply
Comment 2018-07-14 04:06:21 @janton   I use both @janton, but I often miss the 30 minute mark if I'm solely relying on ginabot. I have a bunch set up on ginabot, but it's because I want to comment on "friends" posts, regardless of the 30 minute thing. I have a couple of people on auto vote through Steemauto, but I always make sure to comment too; it just means you get in for the curation rewards. Truthfully, have you ever seen me on Asher's other list haha You're probably asking the wrong person lolSent with Fast-Reply
Comment 2018-07-14 04:03:51 @byn   You're welcome @byn 😅Sent with Fast-Reply
Comment 2018-07-14 04:03:21 @hitmeasap   I hear what you're saying @hitmeasap, and of course in the end, it's your decision. Since you are such a "giver" here, I wouldn't worry about being rewarded falsely. But, you have to be able to comfortably put your head on your own pillow at night, so do whatever feels right to you 😅Sent with Fast-Reply
Comment 2018-07-14 04:01:21 @glenalbrethsen   Yes, the "forever" thing is a bit daunting when you really stop to think about it. There's positives to that as well; I know a couple of moms who are opening accounts in their kids names, only to upload photos, art work, etc.; all that stuff we piled in boxes and store it somewhere in the attic or basement. That's a pretty cool thing. All of Brian's poems and writing to me; here forever, never to be lost on a broken hard drive somewhere. But, then there's what you said; the other side to it, and it's a big "other side" for sure.Sent with Fast-Reply
Comment 2018-07-14 03:54:24 @angelacs   He's doing about the same I think @angelacs, thank you for asking. Pretty pooped most of the time, but hanging in there. He's a stubborn old goat. A cute one though 😎❤️Sent with Fast-Reply
Comment 2018-07-14 03:53:51 @roleerob   Thank you again @roleerob! haha that 45 has to include comments though, because yes, I do plenty of that! My "upvoter is smoking" as well :) and percentage wise, looking rather abysmal, so I too, am going to soon call it. Have a nice evening. Thank you for reaching out; I'm sure our paths will continue to cross now!Sent with Fast-Reply
Comment 2018-07-14 03:51:21 @janton   I can see why you would be amazed @janton! We get the Hollywood version of it, and of course, it's all pretty beautiful, but I shudder to think of the disease, the violence, the conditions all of it, and how it must have actually been for those women. Shocking to find nudes too; mostly because of the times, but like always, there's a seediness that most of us never see! It makes me wonder who was taking the photos (I don't mean the photographer), but who was commissioning them? Were they being sold? Black market stuff? It all makes you wonder though, doesn't it?Sent with Fast-Reply
Comment 2018-07-14 03:30:18 @glenalbrethsen   hahaha he/she/they are totally flagging the wrong people then! Is this something to report to steemcleaners then? Or just that one that was impersonating them? I'm choosing to ignore for the time being, I think. I think there must be plenty of them though, because they all have different names. A real nuisance if nothing else.
Comment 2018-07-14 03:23:27 @traciyork   Oh my gosh, Patrick. I love him :) And it really says all that needs to be said :)
Comment 2018-07-14 03:22:33 @ilhuna   I'm with you...Wow!! That's really interesting about your classmate! When I see these huge murals, I often wonder how the artist can manage to get the perspective so well. But your comment makes me realize that it's just what they are good at! Thank you for stopping by :) I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Comment 2018-07-14 03:21:00 @enforcer48   Thank you @enforcer48! It makes a huge difference for sure! Where do you live?
Comment 2018-07-14 03:20:27 @gillianpearce   Thanks @gillianpearce! I really am in awe of the talent around here! Is the beach food too? I'm missing something there :)?

Comment 2018-07-14 03:17:36 @bengy   The turtle is pretty cool, isn't it?! Yes, this is where we live :)
Comment 2018-07-14 03:16:45 @derekrichardson   It does, doesn't it? I couldn't quite place my finger on it, but that's it! surrealist fantasy Thanks for stopping by @derekrichardson!
Comment 2018-07-14 03:14:30 @headchange    Those look a bit like the poor guy got frustrated and started slinging some paint. hahaha that's exactly what I was thinking too!! It must have been a huge job painting it; I can't imagine. I wish just once I could catch one of these guys in action! It is so hot and so humid here right now, that it is almost unbearable! Hat, no parasol ;) Where are you?
Comment 2018-07-14 03:11:21 @anonymity5   That's a cool idea! Yeah, a respect thing. I did a post a few days ago (?) about a mural here that I'd shared and now it's been tagged over. So disrespectful; drove me crazy when I saw it! Thanks for stopping by! How are you?
Comment 2018-07-14 03:09:21 @creepyturtle   Aww that's awesome @creepyturtle! That's actually what this really looks like!! :)
Comment 2018-07-14 03:07:57 @youhavewings   haha I agree completely!!
Comment 2018-07-14 03:07:21 @bashadow   Good point @bashadow! hmmm now I'm wondering what's on the other side of that wall!
Comment 2018-07-14 03:06:06 @thereikiforest   Thank you so much for this @thereikiforest! Things are a little hectic here at the moment, but I'm leaving this tab open to really appreciate this in my solitude later this evening :)
Comment 2018-07-14 03:03:39 @steveblucher   Thank you so much @steveblucher! It's so amazing to me, being the fantastic stick man artist that I am :)
Comment 2018-07-14 03:02:42 @youhavewings   I agree! It's so transient here though, so fingers crossed I can actually find any info, let alone the actual artist :)
Comment 2018-07-14 02:59:09 @jessalin   Well done! It doesn't pay to have a double-life, does it? Not to mention ruining the trust of a loved one. Very sad. I found your post because @dipoabasch featured you in his @pifc entry.
Comment 2018-07-14 02:51:00 @ashley4u   I'm so sorry @ashley4u that you are going through these troubling times, but I'm glad that you have your faith to pull you through!! Please stay strong and have faith! Take care! I found your post because @dipoabasch featured you in his @pifc entry.
Comment 2018-07-14 02:46:27 @rebeccabe   This is so true @rebeccabe!! And you managed to say something so profound, and so eloquently, in such a short post! Well done :) Love the message!
Comment 2018-07-14 02:44:33 @dipoabasch   Thank you for the entry @dipoabasch! I'm going to go spread a little pay it forward love to your featured bloggers :)
Comment 2018-07-14 02:43:12 @steemitbloggers   I'm with @traciyork with this one :)
Comment 2018-07-14 02:40:09 @hitmeasap   I don't think I would bother with a second account. As you know, I'm not a gamer, so when you post gaming stuff, I either pop in to say hi, or not. No biggie. When you post other things, I pop over and comment. Works for me. I would never not follow you because you have gaming posts. Have you noticed less action coming your way in general since you started doing the gaming posts? I mean, have you noticed less engagement on your posts? All of your posts, not just the gaming ones?
Comment 2018-07-14 02:36:48 @eoj   hahaha feel free to you :)
Comment 2018-07-14 02:33:57 @glenalbrethsen   Yep, I got two yesterday; different names than yours. Brian got one on a post from two weeks ago, but the flagging happened yesterday. I just spoke with @jbreheny who also received one yesterday. Like yours, mine was 100%, but 0 dollar value. Not sure what kind of muck is about at the moment Glen?
Comment 2018-07-14 02:25:18 @youhavewings   Awww, I love the "thank you" rock idea @youhavewings!! She must have been something else! You're most welcome; you're posts often grow so quickly (which is a good thing:), so I hope c2 shows before then 😅 Thanks for the love; right back atcha ❤️Sent with Fast-Reply
Comment 2018-07-14 02:23:18 @simplymike   I've often thought the same thing @simplymike! Comment 2018-07-14 02:19:48 @jbreheny   haha @jbreheny that's funny! There I had you guys running the whole place! Brian says hello; he's hanging in there! I've recently received a few downvotes as well; nonsense all of it. I think they are bots or something. Without using the "@" sign, tell me who it was. Did it register in steemworld as 0.0 or was there an amount on it?Sent with Fast-Reply

Comment 2018-07-14 02:12:48 @glenalbrethsen   @glenalbrethsen, the thing that surprises me is that I've never been a social media person before. Sure I had a Facebook account, and still use it to keep in touch with long distance friends and family, but I can count on one hand the pictures I posted or comments I made. I have, as you know, bared my soul here, but it's only because I realized, after a certain amount of time, that it seems safe to do so. You're right though, it all helps "ease our own fears, tears and aches". I've never bought any SP, and with all of the things I'm involved with, I just simply run out. That's the easiest thing to understand about everything :) No kidding! Dust thresholds!!??Sent with Fast-Reply

Comment 2018-07-14 02:05:36 @blockurator   Age will do that. And yes, coping is all we can often do. The Hound of Heaven ! Thank you; I've never heard of that before, but I loved it!! :)
Comment 2018-07-14 02:03:18 @gillianpearce   Oh noooo @gillianpearce, I feel your pain!!! Don't throw anything else out and let your kids one day have to deal with it all. These damn kids have put us through plenty, at the very least, they deserve a mess to clean up when we're gone haha😎Sent with Fast-Reply
Comment 2018-07-14 02:00:57 @roleerob   Another fine post here @roleerob! I like the way you think, and the way your mind seems to meander and connect so many different dots! I loved what happened on @headchange's post; it truly warmed my heart to see not only the reactions, but the 'coming together' of a community who are all feeling a similar thing. And they're trying to work through it, together. That's pretty amazing if you ask me! I've been a judge for the Pay it Forward Curation Contest of @thedarkhorse's; in fact, I remember he and I talking back and forth trying to figure out what a good contest could be, and then he of course tweaked it and boom! @pifc was born ;) It is just another place where I've watched a community develop; a community of caring individuals, bent on curating those quality unnoticed posts out there, of which there are plenty. Same with @abh12345's League; the community that has developed out of that brilliant idea, and it's all based on engagement, or people supporting others. Your idea of pollination is a good one, the fruits of our labors indeed. This farm girl agrees :) Curating, working together, developing community; all ways to keep this platform successfully growing! Cheers :)
Comment 2018-07-14 01:44:33 @roleerob   I think your conclusion is a good one, the idea of finding value, whatever that may be. I remember joking a few months in here with my husband, wondering what my hourly wage might actually be here haha. I taught high school English mostly for years, and spent countless hours outside of the classroom working on things, reading, marking, talking to kids, their parents etc. I was good at what I did, and I enjoyed it very much. People used to say how much money I made, because they were dividing my salary by a 5 day work week, and subtracting all those holidays we teachers get. When I did the math, it was a much different story! :) You've got it right here @roleerob, that I can see! :)
Comment 2018-07-14 01:37:42 @roleerob   @roleerob, this is one of the kindest, most thoughtful, and yes, encouraging comments I have ever received! Thank you doesn't come close to adequately expressing how you have just made me feel!! But, it will have to suffice...thank you, thank you, thank you!! :) When I wrote this post, I had made the mistake of comparing myself to a few others here, something I never do, and now I remember why that is :) But, and this is a big but, after reading all of the lovely comments, yours included, I realized that I'm doing things exactly right for me. My moment of doubt is over, and you are now a part of the reason why! Thank you again.
Comment 2018-07-14 01:31:30 @roleerob   hahaha @roleerob, it's a tough job, but someone has to do it :) I'm hoping that soon, you too can help bear this burden! Now I'm off to have a look at your comment :) Thank you for this one..it made me smile!
Comment 2018-07-14 01:26:18 @eoj   That makes sense @eoj, and I hear you loud and clear on the whole bot thing. I dabbled a bit, but felt icky afterwards. It felt like I was wrapping up and then opening my own birthday presents :) Thanks for the tip on health care too! Comment 2018-07-14 01:24:18 @papacrusher   hahaha I remember that too @papacrusher!! My grandma used to sit on that same bench to clean and can peaches as well. They were her favorite, so she'd peel one, cut it in half, put half in a jar and half in her mouth lol. Comment 2018-07-14 01:15:36 @particleman   Thank you again @particleman! I appreciate the support and am pleased with my progress over the last five weeks, thanks in part to you :) @abh12345 were just talking about his delegation to me and he's letting me keep it until I hit 500 SP. Your tracking of my stats is perfect! See Asher? I'm getting closer! :)
Comment 2018-07-14 01:11:09 @janton   Very interesting @janton! I understand why women "get into it", but it is something I just don't get doing...if that makes any sense at all! check out that ornate little table, I have a spot for that! I did haha
Comment 2018-07-14 01:07:06 @danielsaori   Hey that's awesome!! Thank you so much @danielsaori! I appreciate it so very much :) Congratulations to @stevenwood and @ashley4u as well! Nice job engaging :)
Comment 2018-07-14 00:58:30 @simplymike   So so true! I was just reading the other day, @goldendawne saying how personal her gardening is to her, how harvesting her medicinal crop is sometimes such a sad thing, and how she talks and nourishes and basically treats it all like her babies! Plants are live creatures to me, and deserve the same as I would do for humans actually. Maybe more sometimes :) Hope your garden is growing well!
Comment 2018-07-14 00:55:39 @fulltimegeek   I am humbled and honored to be considered "bot quality" :) Seriously, it took me a while to figure out who was behind all of those lovely upvotes that I was receiving, and so I want to say thank you again, so much, for the bots, for choosing me and my posts, and for just being you! I truly care about this platform and the people on it, and will continue to do all of the things that I am currently doing, and focus on all things positive here! Thank you again!
Comment 2018-07-14 00:51:48 @themanwithnoname   Thank you so much @themanwithnoname, for including me with the likes of Dave :) I am so thankful that you would do that; I am also thankful to have been the recipient of @fulltimegeek's bots before! I just figured out recently who it was behind the bots, but thank you for calling me over here, because I had unfortunately missed this post! You're pretty awesome; I hope you know that!!
Comment 2018-07-14 00:32:48 @byn   He has nothing but great things to say about you and your writing, and how shameful it is that you are so undervalued. I agree on all of it! :)
Comment 2018-07-14 00:31:27 @abh12345   hahaha this is awesome! I'll go cunning anytime :) Unique photo for profile image of unattractive male/female Classic :)
Comment 2018-07-14 00:29:03 @wolfhart   hahaha you watch your mouth sir! :)
Comment 2018-07-14 00:28:21 @abh12345   hahahaha @abh12345, I didn't...but you just did lol
Comment 2018-07-14 00:27:30 @eye4art   Another good one @eye4art! :) Thank you for curating!!
Comment 2018-07-13 23:47:27 @jaynie   Nice job as usual @jaynie! fyi, c-squared says the new format doesn't quite meet their "curation" standards unfortunately. I tried my friend :)
Comment 2018-07-13 23:43:36 @rwedegis   So beautiful Roger! I'd say the experiment worked well :)
Comment 2018-07-13 23:41:48 @accelerator   Such a great idea to showcase authors and their curators! I didn't think to ask before, but what made you come up with that? Regardless, thank you for what you do here :)
Comment 2018-07-13 23:33:12 @youhavewings   This is so beautiful!!! Hooray Carolista Baum :) I bet you guys are happy that you pushed yourself to go to Jockey Ridge!! I'm passing your post on to c-squared in the hopes that they visit :)
Comment 2018-07-13 23:25:54 @appreciator   Thanks @appreciator! Fine choices yet again :)
Comment 2018-07-13 23:10:03 @insideoutlet   Awww I love love love this post!! He is so darn cute, even if I can't see his full face. That's a very interesting law in place by the way. And his little robe...I just want to squish him in a big hug!! He kissed you!!! <3 hahaha @shai-hulud, nice trim job buddy :) I'm passing this sweet post off to c-squared. Hope they visit :)
Comment 2018-07-13 20:01:30 @asapers   Great choices @asapers!! Congratulations @tryskele, @guchtere, and @revisesociology!
Comment 2018-07-13 19:58:36 @tryskele   Hooray! Your post got used :)
Comment 2018-07-13 07:22:36 @jbreheny   We've been wondering about you guys!! Your photos are awesome too. So what exactly does it mean to "run" the place for the next three months? What are your jobs? That's so cool, all of it actually!! Good for you guys to "not look back"...why on earth would you?!! And such a cool experience for your son too!
Comment 2018-07-13 06:59:30 @janton   hahaha I do get around...in a good way :)
Comment 2018-07-13 06:55:39 @eye4art   Hey there @eye4art! This is a great initiative and I'm not sure if you've heard of c-squared, but they are an off-shoot of curie and are supporting curation posts such as this. I'm going to drop your post in their discord and hopefully they'll pay you a visit :)
Comment 2018-07-13 06:47:27 @janton   haha not much! There are so many who have great posts and go unnoticed. It's a shame and something I'm always working at to help with. That's why I curate so much. Anyway, here's a post I wrote a long time ago about ginabot. It should help, but you should get it for sure. You will get notified anytime someone mentions your name anywhere on steemit and discord. It's pretty handy. And funny enough, there's a settings place where you can put people's names in and be notified when they write a new post :)
Comment 2018-07-13 06:35:15 @zen-art   Thank you so much @zen-art!! They are very beautiful indeed :)
Comment 2018-07-13 06:34:21 @cicisaja    I can show it to our house of representatives members, so they don't have to visit other countries using the people budget funds just to make a comparison study on "how to beautify your boring cement block, tunnels and collums" hahaha that's funny, but kind of not funny, because it's true!! Oh I'll figure something out! I really want to capture it in a photo, somehow!
Comment 2018-07-13 06:32:36 @janton   Whoa! I thought I was your favorite author? :) haha @byn is awesome! as is @jaynie! Heck, we all are :) Glad you made it over here @janton. He's all yours now @jaynie! :)
Comment 2018-07-13 06:32:09 @glenalbrethsen   I could include many things from your list on mine, but I also would include a few others. Like, helping a man work through his grief from his dad's death, another for his wife leaving him unexpectedly, another who was depressed, talked a couple of people in to staying and not quitting steemit. I could continue, but you get the picture. I'm a good listener, and often many open up to me here, like in real life I guess too. My VP is horrible Glen, so I've got to hold off on upvoting, which I hate, but there it is :) Interesting post; it's crazy to think what this really is, compared to what it's sold as!
Comment 2018-07-13 06:27:51 @themanwithnoname   I'm with you on that one! It's a perfect summary of this craziness :)
Comment 2018-07-13 06:25:30 @glenalbrethsen    Like he was more afraid of it than failure. I don't know. Something like that. That's interesting. Some people are like that. It's easier to quit, then it is to succeed or fail. So, maybe it's time for it to all go. Sounds like it to me :) I'm looking forward to it, whenever it comes out.
Comment 2018-07-13 06:21:36 @janton   I'm a member of steemitbloggers too, and I know they are accepting new members, so I'm happy to put a good word in for you. I love @byn by the way; she's awesome! The top left hand corner of Discord looks like this: At the very top where it says "Find or start a conversation", just put @jaynie there and you'll be able to send her a private message. Yes I'm involved with plenty here lol Do you use @ginabot? It's not an upvoting bot but a notification one. Questions? Fire away :)
Comment 2018-07-13 06:16:36 @accelerator   That sounds great to me. Thank you so much for the support! I really do appreciate it ;) I'm always running out of voting power, especially as a judge in the curation contest I'm involved with, so any help via upvoting my own posts that can increase my own VP is much appreciated :) And point taken; pointless planning a party with no guests :)
Comment 2018-07-13 06:04:15 @doomsdaychassis   Of course, but slowly, one little leg at a time.
Comment 2018-07-13 06:02:24 @canadianrenegade   It sure did feel that way to me as well!! I loved your entries :) Hope to see you back here...if you can find the time haha
Comment 2018-07-13 05:58:57 @janton   This is random, but I just saw this post and you're mentioned there by @jaynie, who I know. She's recently started an initiative to support minnows and you're one of them my friend. Check it out :)
Comment 2018-07-13 05:56:54 @accelerator   Thank you for stopping by here @accelerator!
Comment 2018-07-13 05:49:54 @jaynie   I love @janton! Nice pic :) @byn, how long have you had your eye out on him ? Sorry @jaynie, I somehow missed this post the other day :) Passing it on as usual !
Comment 2018-07-13 05:46:54 @janton   It's my turn to troll buddy ;)
Comment 2018-07-13 05:45:42 @janton   Yes, I heard somewhere they had a city beautification plan and this was a part of it. There's way too many murals around for it to be accidental. Remember, tourists love this kind of stuff, and that's what this place is all about :)
Comment 2018-07-13 05:42:48 @galenkp   awwww Someone's totally, head over heels, in love!!! I was smiling reading your post and I still am! I've been anxiously awaiting this post, for the reunion with your brother, but mostly for the union with your niece, and you did not disappoint @galenkp!! She's a total doll! I know you will, but soak up every lovely second with her and the fam :) I'm so so happy for you and Faith! This is all just so sweet. And I'm literally shocked at the emotion that I am feeling about it all too!
Comment 2018-07-13 05:32:57 @lyndsaybowes   LOL the Penguin from Batman! He always reminds me of my youngest when he was little! Nice arm tattoos there; what's the story behind those bad boys? The flowers, picking veggies outside, the kittens...geez the kittens...so darn cute! Their little faces just kill me. What an awesome #walkwithme! Beautiful orchid at the end too! Thank you for including my post and thank you so much for sharing your day! Cheers :)
Comment 2018-07-13 05:28:42 @lyndsaybowes   omg I have such memories of sitting on a wooden bench with my grandma doing this!!! <3

Comment 2018-07-13 05:07:18 @eoj   haha not he's even cuter with that top pony lol I hear you about not all days!! I used to have to go in to my youngest' room at night to watch the beautiful angel sleep and fill up my meter because he was hell on wheels during the day haha They are 20 and 23 now and man, it goes by fast! Enjoy! You're @starthere!!! I had no idea :) Thank you for the lovely compliment; I do put in piles of time here. Mexico is great, but we're here because my husband has cancer, so we are simply enjoying life; left the rat race behind! Why the two accounts? I'm always curious about that.
Comment 2018-07-13 05:02:24 @doomsdaychassis   hahahaha 6.8 pound baby jesus! Shut up Chip, this is an important prayer :)

Comment 2018-07-13 04:51:54 @mirrors   @mirrors, I finally spoke with someone at curie today about him and have some specifics to share with him. They actually love his work (their words), but it's some other things he needs to change a bit. FYI, if someone posts on instagram for example first, then "copies" it to steemit, it is not "curie worthy". Yep. That's him. I'm hoping he has something original for here only, or at least, for here first .Sent with Fast-Reply
Comment 2018-07-13 04:49:27 @blockurator   You are most welcome! Ahh that makes perfect sense; I'm sure you've moved well beyond it, but I'm sorry for your dealings with your father. And yes, the National Guard, serving local and state; a shocking miscalculation I'm sure. Yeah, the Hound of Heaven. That's awesome. I've never heard that before, but it's very fitting :)
Comment 2018-07-13 04:45:27 @maverickinvictus   It gets used a lot around here haha And I know years ago from a trip to Japan, they use "kanpai" 😎 I think it's my internet here; it can be hit and miss sometimes!Sent with Fast-Reply

Comment 2018-07-13 04:34:00 @janton   haha that's funny. I just get witty. I think. I've had too much wine to tell right now ;)

Comment 2018-07-13 04:27:09 @doomsdaychassis   Isn't that the way it works @doomsdaychassis! Well here's a little fodder for you if you ever decide to write about gypsy's again. The one's I saw were from a gang called the Tene-Bimbo Gypsy Clan (pronounced "teenie"...which makes it even funnier to me). Here's one of their success stories. Can't make this shiza up if you tried :)
Comment 2018-07-13 04:15:30 @abh12345   I wonder how many others consider the world steemit tour @abh12345? I'm not surprised you have though! I'm so bad with the camera, and sometimes I choose to go for the memory of the photo - and then regret it later! hahaha that is so me!!! Then I kick myself, saying, "god, why didn't I take some photos?!!" Croatia? someone please explain that one! ;)
Comment 2018-07-13 04:11:54 @abh12345   Yep, it went without question @abh12345! A lot of tears went into that post and the comments, but it was all really worth it❤️Sent with Fast-Reply

Comment 2018-07-13 04:01:57 @gillianpearce   So true @gillianpearce !! I actually had a nice wide angle and zoom lens on my camera that I sold before coming here. Why you ask? Just don't ask! Ugh!Sent with Fast-Reply
Comment 2018-07-13 04:00:57 @edprivat   hahahaha @edprivat, totally not you!! Actually, I think it was this post where I showed your picture to Brian and said, "doesn't Ed look like a kid?". 😅 Seriously!!Sent with Fast-Reply

Comment 2018-07-13 03:57:39 @alequandro   I'm actually living in Mexico now and in this particular city, the murals are all over the place. I actually just did two posts on the most beautiful ones I have ever seen. I'm not looking for upvotes and never talk about my own posts, especially on someone else's post like this, but really, I was in awe of these. In Canada, it's much more controlled, so unless it's an organized paint, it's only what taggers get away with :) If only we could travel our entire lives! Agreed! :)
Comment 2018-07-13 03:54:57 @glenalbrethsen    but there would seem to be decisions made when we would wrap up in the evening that would be unmade the next morning. That does sound like the wife intervening and he was probably too embarrassed to say it. Tough spot he was in too I'm assuming, and I would also think that he has some baggage from it as well. If he was the kind of friend that you described, I can't imagine any of it was easy for him either. Damn wives. They get in the way some times :) I think if you spill it all out here though, it will probably "go away". I always feel like when you write it all down, it's just out of your system. Yep. Nice nice teaser. You and headchange outta get together :)
Comment 2018-07-13 03:31:54 @lymepoet   I hear what you're saying @lymepoet! The other one is magical!
Comment 2018-07-13 03:30:54 @bengy   You didn't prime me for the number 3 @bengy! Funny enough, I went and "pretended" and grabbed paper without thinking i the bathroom just to see because I had no idea how many I used hahaha Oh ya, clowns, the forced, creepy grin! I'm sorry that I put it in your head, because trust me, it's not leaving now :) I think it might be possible in the chair, but lol, stronger arms...that's so bad, and so funny😎Sent with Fast-Reply
Comment 2018-07-13 03:28:54 @cicisaja   I think that is an awesome idea @cicisaja! I'd love to see photos of that village. Thanks for the language lesson too!! awww, you're so sweet. I'm sure they thought I was crazy haha Actually here, there's a big highway overpass with those huge cement columns holding it up, and the columns all have beautiful murals painted on them. I've been trying to figure out how to photograph them because the best view is from the middle of the highway haha Sent with Fast-Reply

Comment 2018-07-13 03:24:54 @buckaroo   hahah I think you're right @buckaroo! Isn't it amazing that all you need anymore is a phone?! No more cameras, you don't need a computer, gps, nothing! Just a good camera 😅 Sent with Fast-Reply
Comment 2018-07-13 03:23:54 @janton   hahaha @janton, oh I can take it, that's for sure 😅 Trolling, stalking, all the same, and yes, all creepy too! It may have been past my bedtime, but it sounds like you were delirious and a little sleep deprived to me 😎Sent with Fast-Reply

Comment 2018-07-13 02:43:03 @wolfhart   Thank you @wolfhart. I don't know it either haha I received his delegation in pieces from coming in first place in the leagues!
Comment 2018-07-13 02:38:00 @wolfhart   It's a good thing Asher or myself are not fluent in pig latin, or you'd be in some serious kaka :) He is pretty awesome! You...are simply weird lol Ok. You're a pretty good guy too!
Comment 2018-07-13 02:36:18 @livinguktaiwan   That is really beautiful!! It's the same in Vancouver; a Louis bag is a dime a dozen, so you hardly "stand out" anymore with one. Years ago, Brian and I picked up Cartier sunglasses for half the price that they were at home and I still have them, and I still love them! And like your watch case, the sunglasses case is that same beautiful red specimen:) My voting power is so awful right now, so I'm so sorry, but I can't upvote how I really really want to!! :)
Comment 2018-07-13 01:53:12 @wolfhart   hahahaha this is so funny! Again!! With the heat wave that's been going around, you must have been getting pretty darn ripe :) But being the kinda girl that I am, you could always drag your stinky butt over here to use ours :) Voice chat hey? You're all in now...hook, line and sinker!! And sorry, but my vp is horrible and I'm trying to increase it before I start the pifc entries :)
Comment 2018-07-13 00:27:42 @doomsdaychassis   A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. I hope this works for you. I just tried to do the byteball thing but I'm working from my older laptop (newer one went TU) and it won't support this version of windows...naturally :) For what it's worth, which isn't much right now because my voting power is toast, I'll give you a 100%er for the cause. Remember me when you're rich.
Comment 2018-07-13 00:04:51 @hitmeasap   hahaha I thought it was! That's still one of the funniest stories I've heard here :) Wow, I had to read that a few times to really understand it all! So your dad married a younger woman? did I get that right in the end?
Comment 2018-07-13 00:03:15 @glenalbrethsen   haha I've heard the same thing, and have seen people walking around in skinny jeans and long sleeves in this weather, but I am not one of them! I can barely stand to have shorts and a tank top on, and anything tight, forget it!! I don't get it either :) Enjoy your three months haha That's a good one :)
Comment 2018-07-12 23:37:15 @unyimeetuk   You're very welcome! Ginabot is a notification bot that you use on discord. Here is a post I wrote a long time ago to give you more details, but 'she' will notify you if your name is mentioned in a post...like you did with me here. That's how I knew to come looking ;) Are you a member of any Discord groups? Like @newbieresteemday or @asapers. I told you a bit about newbieresteemday on your other post, but they are so helpful, welcoming, mentoring for new folks like yourself. Also, @asapers focuses on quality, unnoticed posts, also like yours! I curate for them, and we publish a regular feature called READ me ASAP, highlighting up to three posts that deserve more attention. Here's the invite link for asapers, and the link for newbieresteemday. Both groups are a wonderful place to help create a community of support for yourself. I find that is key here, as well as the importance of commenting a lot on other's posts; genuine commenting to help you develop relationships with others. That's probably enough for now haha Let me know if you have more questions!
Comment 2018-07-12 23:22:12 @mirrors   You've got some great choices yet again @mirrors! Thanks for all you are doing in the name of curation :)
Comment 2018-07-12 23:21:15 @gillianpearce   don't push it @gillianpearce :) You let me know when you figure that one out please lol
Comment 2018-07-12 23:20:03 @eoj   What a spectacular intro post @eoj!! Your daughter is so darn cute! You're right; being a parent is nothing like what we imagine it to be, and it's impossible to truly understand until you're in the midst of it yourself :) You have lead and continue to lead a very interesting life! Work to be proud of :) I'm so glad that you tagged me today in your comment to @davemccoy, so I had a chance to meet you :) Cheers!
Comment 2018-07-12 23:12:27 @yabapmatt   Awww @yabapmatt! Thanks for heeding the call; very kind and generous of you to do :)
Comment 2018-07-12 23:10:15 @eoj   hahaha @eoj, "Gentleman-Off" indeed!! It's a bit like, "Thank you", "no, no, Thank you", "Oh no no, Thank you" haha You're absolutely right though about not seeing this on other social platforms. I get your dirty comment too; like need-to-be-dipped-in-bleach dirty:) It was a nice digression you had :) I am a fortunate recent recipient of @tcpolymath's kindness, but yes, this would be a great place for it too!
Comment 2018-07-12 23:05:54 @davemccoy   haha thanks Dave ;)
Comment 2018-07-12 23:05:33 @unyimeetuk   Yes, I appreciate the tag, although I've already included you in my list of those who post when I get notified by @ginabot. Tell me if you don't know what that is. And sure, my Discord is the same name as here (#4299) if you need it :)
Comment 2018-07-12 22:58:30 @glenalbrethsen   That's exactly what my dad was saying to me this morning. It's actually closer to 90 here; Cancun is always cooler (haha cooler!), but with the humidity, it feels well over 100. It's very hard to cool off, even in the apartment with airconditioning. We have a AC unit in the bedroom, but only one ceiling fan in the living room, and oddly enough, nothing in the kitchen, so with all the windows, it can get hot in here too.
Comment 2018-07-12 21:57:33 @abh12345   Of course, I didn't even think of post payout. Duh! :) Yes, you're still my proxy buddy, I wouldn't break up with you without saying anything! I do like the idea of seeing "why?" you vote for people too. It's a good tool for sure; you probably notice me pimping you as a proxy around here whenever people say they "just don't know who to vote for", so now I can send them here as well! Win-win my friend.
Comment 2018-07-12 21:54:12 @gillianpearce   I got looking back at my posts the other day, and even I'd forgotten about some of them!
Comment 2018-07-12 21:53:45 @danielsaori   You're welcome Daniel! She said next time she's going to have one comic per square to help with the size issue too. I'm always happy to pass a little knowledge around if I can :) Have a good day :)
Comment 2018-07-12 21:52:03 @mirrors   He seems pleased with the encouragement and tagged us both in his latest post which I've passed on to curie again. Just imagine if he could get a visit from them!
Comment 2018-07-12 21:50:03 @glenalbrethsen   June is the hottest month here I think, hot and crazy humid!! We haven't gone out much at all lately because of it. Truthfully, it's terribly uncomfortable unless you're in some water! You're right though, from what I've heard, it's "hot all over"!!
Comment 2018-07-12 21:46:57 @abh12345   Thanks Ash, I appreciate that! I hope I'll get there soon too :)
Comment 2018-07-12 21:43:15 @gillianpearce   That's a really good idea @gillianpearce! I was trying to figure out a way to put all my mural ones together, for example.
Comment 2018-07-12 21:41:24 @abh12345    With the forthcoming ability to edit posts older than 7 days I had no idea! Is this for everyone? I'll be looking for ideas from others who do the same (starting with a better profile image!) hahaha that made me laugh! I'd say it's "solid" right now, but a little sprucing up might be nice too :) Asher, I had no idea you delegated so much! I'm still shaking my head at that list, and so proud to have been included on it. I really like the idea of a witness profile page too, one that you can update whenever you want. I've always thought the 7-day thing weird here, and perhaps you can enlighten me on its original purpose, but I'm glad it's heading in a different direction. Nice work here; a very very good idea to help people better choose their witnesses. It will also show which witnesses actually take the time to create a profile too. Cheers!
Comment 2018-07-12 21:32:30 @davemccoy   I've reserved this for Asher, but you're a good egg too Dave!! I'd not thought about his delegation in these terms before, but of course, you did! I didn't think it was possible, but you've moved up my respect ladder, even though I had no idea there was even another rung for you to climb! I hope someone "big" heeds this call. Thanks for being you Dave!
Comment 2018-07-12 21:29:54 @beeyou   haha what's good for the goose, is sometimes not good for the gander :)
Comment 2018-07-12 21:28:39 @abh12345   I've said it before and I'll say it again Asher, You really are a good egg :) And taking a page from Dave's book, if and when you need to take your delegation back from me, please do so! I've appreciated having it, but in the end, it's all yours ;)
Comment 2018-07-12 21:23:15 @maverickinvictus   Wow Mave!! That's amazing! My mind just does't work in fantasy like this, so I am in complete awe! Nice job buddy, you've got my vote for sure :)
Comment 2018-07-12 21:20:39 @tryskele   This quote has always made me so sad because it's the ones joking the loudest that are hurting the most, and absolutely no one notices it. I normally don't pay too much attention to 'celebrity' stuff, but Robin Williams' death affected me profoundly.
Comment 2018-07-12 21:18:36 @tryskele   hahaha I think you and @cicisaja should come here and we could all wander together...no makeup, hair askew etc. :) I pity the fool who tries to make fun of us haha (Mr. T. quote lol)
Comment 2018-07-12 21:07:48 @blockurator   That is one of the best "introduceyourself" posts I have ever read here! Thank you for sharing your life with us. Your writing accomplishments are many; congratulations! Steemit seems to be a perfect extension of that too; steemmonsters ...is it going to really take off here, do you think? And your years in Service are interesting to me as well. I know this is a sweeping generalization, but your writing/creative side seems a weird mix with military for me. I don't know why I think that though, because I've got absolutely nothing to base it on except a feeling, which is pure bunk, I know haha What/who got you into the military, if you don't mind me asking? Love your Holy Spirit story too. Sometime, you just "know". Thank you again!
Comment 2018-07-12 20:57:33 @thekittygirl   So cool to stumble upon this kind of thing; it's like suddenly waking up in the past :) Brian and I did a road trip across the States a few years ago, and hit an old part of Route 66; talk about a blast from the past! Thanks for sharing @thekittygirl, and hope you are well :)
Comment 2018-07-12 20:54:03 @appreciator   I love these choices @appreciator! I of course saw the steemitbloggers ones already, but that ladybug watercolor is beautiful! Thanks for doing what you do :)
Comment 2018-07-12 20:51:00 @hitmeasap   Well you're really opening yourself up to some crazy sh*t here, aren't you? haha Wasn't it you who had the weird masturbation question from someone on Discord ? lol This is kind of random, but I have you on autovote and it didn't work for your post here? Gotta check that out. Also, you should pop this post in "post-promotion" in asapers discord to get a little more exposure to the gang there :) Now, as for my question: Do you have any brothers or sisters? I'm glad you wrote a post that I can relate to lol
Comment 2018-07-12 20:02:48 @shibasaki   Once again, very beautiful @shibasaki! I love how you say "expressing the sound", which is exactly what you've accomplished :) I was surprised when I first saw this, because I did expect muted, pale colors...I've never seen a watercolor quite like this; very beautiful. Thank you as well for the explanation of using the sponge to create the spray. Years ago I dabbled in watercolor painting, and seeing yours makes me want to pick it back up :) Thanks for sharing!
Comment 2018-07-12 19:57:36 @steemitbloggers   Nice curation @steemitbloggers :)
Comment 2018-07-12 19:52:45 @headchange   I had to scroll forever to find this comment @headchange! You sure hit on a nerve here I'd say!! Nice job :) This is the kind of "working" that sometimes happens accidentally :) You've got some biggies here chatting away without even trying haha Seriously though, there's some really good advice here I think!
Comment 2018-07-12 19:51:00 @glenalbrethsen   hahaha teaser is right!! Geez @headchange, if you've got the answer to our crazy, I'd love to hear it!!
Comment 2018-07-12 19:47:57 @abh12345   Then let's just agree that we're both fine :) Enjoy! Cheers!
Comment 2018-07-12 19:38:00 @jaynie   Ahh @jaynie, I so happy to hear that your dad is coming along, and I stand in your mother's shoes and know that she will continue doing what she is doing, exhausted or not. That's what love is all about. You shouldn't feel badly that you have to leave; I'm sure your parents completely understand that you must take care of your own responsibilities. I'm also so happy that you've received the support from people here that you so deserve. It's nice to be able to give back to you for a change :) And this killed me! I was near tears then burst out laughing; I'm currently doing a bit of both right now :) but I am a little brain dead and I don't give enough of a sh!t right now to fix any of it
Comment 2018-07-12 19:20:21 @unyimeetuk   Another fantastic piece of work @unyimeetuk! She is absolutely beautiful, as is that corner of your home studio :) I've passed it on again to see if anymore people take a notice of you! Thanks for the tag too! As far as your question goes, I think every woman should do exactly what they want because it's no one else's business but hers :) Cheers!!
Comment 2018-07-12 06:23:03 @steemchiller   As usual, I love to see what you're working on, especially "post finder" now!! You always give us something so cool to "play with" :) I'm still finding things I hadn't noticed yet! I've said it before, but I really do appreciate all of your hard work and time that you put into steemworld. I think these weekly support posts are a good idea too; I do hope you are getting the support that you rightly deserve as well! Positive thoughts create a positive world. I couldn't agree more. We should all ignore the nonsense and focus on what's great here on steemit and in the real world! And this buddy, is one of those things :) Cheers!
Comment 2018-07-12 06:03:48 @cicisaja   Thank you so much @cicisaja; I'm happy that you enjoyed it! There is something special about this one compared to the last, isn't there? Maybe it's the softer colors, but it's almost angelic. I believe there was a city beautification plan and one of the initiatives were all of these murals. It's makes such a huge difference I think, compared to if everything was just grey cement blocks. If I were there.. I think I'm gonna spent 1-2 hours a day just to stare at the parrot and it's shadow 😊 I stared so long at it, that people started to stare at me haha Thank you as always for the lovely comment :)
Comment 2018-07-12 05:59:12 @waybeyondpadthai   Thank you so much @waybeyondpadthai ... great name by the way :) I appreciate the support and will check out your Discord channel for sure :) I've just started using eSteem and am really enjoying how user friendly it is!
Comment 2018-07-12 05:58:03 @dinoromanelli   Thank you @dinoromanelli; I appreciate you stopping by and saying so!
Comment 2018-07-12 05:57:27 @starjewel   I know exactly what you mean!! I written a few posts where the mural "spoke" to me, symbolically I mean. But these last two I felt were about the beauty of the environment around here. Which I guess is always a message, considering the state of the environment all over the world...here included! I’ve seen murals as long as 200 meters... many elements and characters lined up, one after another. Wow! That sounds awesome! Where was that?
Comment 2018-07-12 05:55:24 @tryskele   I was, until people started staring at me haha It is just amazing though, isn't it?!! And there's just so many of them around here. I'm like a kid in a candy store...or me in a cheap wine store lol
Comment 2018-07-12 05:53:12 @youhavewings   Thank you @youhavewings, that is a lovely thought!! I'm in awe of the talent around here ;)
Comment 2018-07-12 05:52:09 @squirrellyma   Thank you @squirrellyma! I'm in awe of just how many there are around here!!
Comment 2018-07-12 05:50:21 @steven-patrick   I saw that and thought that too! So cool!! The turtle, its' details, and how it seems to be "coming out" of the mural...just wow! Thanks @steven-patrick for being so supportive; I really appreciate it!
Comment 2018-07-12 05:37:45 @oluwashinaayomi   Thank you, they're both so great and both so different! I'm glad you like it @oluwahinaayomi!!
Comment 2018-07-12 05:36:48 @wolfhart   haha he's stealing your shtick @wolfhart :)
Comment 2018-07-12 05:36:27 @janton   hahaha no you did not get ripped off! It didn't go any further than the yellow fish below the turtle, smart guy! And by the way, who are you and why are you trolling me old man? haha
Comment 2018-07-12 05:33:03 @mirrors   Did you see the one he did of Martin Luther King Jr.? Outstanding!! It was my pleasure; thank you for shining some light on it too. I was saddened by all his post payouts. Just doesn't seem right and hits on a real problem here, doesn't it?!
Comment 2018-07-12 05:31:45 @glenalbrethsen   I think the fact that you did comment means plenty! You are welcome. It's comforting to know that so many are feeling the same way I think. At least we know that at an individual lever, we're not crazy haha
Comment 2018-07-12 05:30:09 @janton   You'd be surprised how much is around here! The turtle won is pretty awesome too (I haven't got any voting power, so I'm waiting to comment on those ones :). haha who ARE these people...no kidding!
Comment 2018-07-12 05:28:45 @janton   Seriously, I'm not. I had a facebook account but never posted anything. I used it to stay in touch with friends that I have all over the place, but I was never one to post photos or comment or do anything like that. I also found it purposeless, and truthfully, couldn't care less if someone was grabbing a Starbucks or showing a photo of their restaurant plate of food!! But like you said, here we are!
Comment 2018-07-12 05:26:48 @janton   "Stay at home personality"...that explains it! When Brian's not well, we don't leave the house, so this is what I do!
Comment 2018-07-12 05:19:48 @glenalbrethsen   hahaha that's funny @glenalbrethsen ! I can just see you writing a comment, ending it with ... and beginning another comment 20 seconds later 😅 Ok, I'm in! Good luck with you as well!Sent with Fast-Reply
Comment 2018-07-12 05:18:18 @canadianrenegade   Hey there @canadianrenegade, I'm unfortunately not very close to my twin. I could write a book about why that is, but suffice it to say that we are two completely different people (fraternal). We of course talk, but we're not terribly close. Sad I know. I'm actually closer to my older and younger brother. Continue to enjoy the blur though haha. Yesterday my boys were babies, and now they are 20 and 23. Some days seemed so long, but the years seemed to go by so quickly.Sent with Fast-Reply

Comment 2018-07-12 05:13:48 @glenalbrethsen   I had a feeling his wife maybe had something to do with it too @glenalbrethsen; or at least a feeling that it's what you were thinking. Writing about things really does bring all that emotional stuff back up to the surface, doesn't it?! That you for revisiting it all for us. No rush; take your time and do it when it works for you. I just got caught up in the moment haha and really was making a joke 😅Sent with Fast-Reply
Comment 2018-07-12 05:10:18 @themanwithnoname   I actually have a few of these back home @themanwithnoname ; my grandfather bought us kids a few as we were growing up. I couldn't give you details though, but they are pretty 😅Sent with Fast-Reply

Comment 2018-07-12 04:54:06 @janton   It is very safe. Like any city, there's places you don't go, but I've never felt unsafe anywhere here yet. Actually, where we live now used to be pretty rough, but the government saw that tourism was spreading, and they "moved" the ghetto much further away from here. Tourism is the only economy here, so it's in everyone's best interest to keep the tourists safe.
Comment 2018-07-12 04:52:00 @themanwithnoname   Exactly @themanwithnoname! This place has grown exponentially in the last 10 years. Truthfully, I miss its' smallness!Sent with Fast-Reply

Comment 2018-07-12 04:51:00 @janton   Real life does sometimes get in the way of our steemit life, doesn't it @janton ? I don't know about you, but I've never been a big social media person, and even after being on here 6+ months, I'm still surprised how much I love it, how much I share and how much I miss it if I'm away a day. It's very different here for sure! Sent with Fast-Reply

Comment 2018-07-12 04:47:57 @janton   I'm not much of a planner @janton! After spending so many years teaching, and literally planning every minute, I pretty much fly by the seat of my pants now 😅 Although, I do have a general plan in place, which is always to stay in the top 10, but I must say, I prefer the top 5. When I did make first place a few times, I thought I had to keep up the frantic place, then finally slowed down and was pleasantly surprised to still be in the top 3. I think that could easily be you because your numbers are just so much higher than anyone else's.Sent with Fast-Reply

Comment 2018-07-12 04:38:51 @bengy   I read your post and thought, this is kind of fun, then I was killing myself laughing throughout all the comments!! I love what we'll do here :) Ok, here it goes: In Canada, a definite 3. My husband 10+ :) BUT, in Mexico, it's an entirely different story, for two reasons. The tp is way thinner here, and you only have to wipe once with three squares to realize the literal mess you are in! The other reason is that their plumbing infrastructure is still based on a population of 10,000, now it's about 500,000, so most throw their pee paper in the garbage, some really gross people throw their poo paper in the garbage too., Ewww I know. We don't, fyi. So, here, it's anyone's guess haha Irrational Fear: Clowns. Hate them. They terrify me. Funny when I was a kid, the flower Tiger Lily terrified me, so I get your Sun Flower thing! This is going to sound really bad, but it's the truth, and it's definitely something I would never ever ask. But, I often wonder what someone in a wheelchair is sexually capable of doing :) Ok, maybe not "often", but I have wondered it lol You asked @bengy!
Comment 2018-07-12 04:27:06 @insideoutlet   hahahaha only you would say "thickness of output" :)
Comment 2018-07-12 04:18:57 @f3nix   ok, here we go again. I'm curating tonight so leaving this open as a gentle reminder tomorrow to have a good look at. As usual @f3nix, I'll pop this in every discord contest channel I know :)

Comment 2018-07-12 04:15:27 @doomsdaychassis   Thanks for the honesty @doomsdaychassis, but I still totally enjoyed it ;) My husband watches all those weird real crime shows on tv, and today it was about a real life gypsy gang, where the girls would seduce and manipulate old men. I kept laughing and Brian's saying, "it's not funny Lynn", but I couldn't adequately explain that I was thinking of your gypsy @doomsdaychassis, and in my mind's eye, she was a real Forest-looking gal 😎Sent with Fast-Reply

Comment 2018-07-12 03:54:24 @robali123   So interesting to hear the perspective from someone who's actually painted a mural! Thank you for commenting. I figured just getting the perceptive right would be difficult, not to mention every other thing that comes with painting outside. "Big respect" is right!
Comment 2018-07-12 03:53:09 @paulag   Thank you @paulag! I appreciate you stopping by too :)
Comment 2018-07-12 03:52:42 @buckaroo   Thank you so much @buckaroo! It is pretty unbelievable that it's "just" street art!! I know exactly what you mean. Comment 2018-07-12 03:44:36 @thereikiforest   I had a feeling you would love it! This is so deep and so beautyfull on soooooo many levels. I stared at it for so long, and could have stayed there, but people were beginning to stare at me haha Thank you so much for stopping by @thereikiforest!
Comment 2018-07-12 03:42:57 @youhavewings   That's interesting because Brian thought it was a rat too. Now looking at it again, I think it's all in good fun because it's two cats watching the rat drinking :) I believe you are so right about the gentle person behind the brush. I'm determined to find out more about all of these paintings. The artists deserve credit! I did a post today, another mural, which has the artist's name clearly on it, but of course my photo cut part of it out because I was so focused on the beauty of it haha Thank you for stopping by!
Comment 2018-07-12 03:39:39 @abh12345   Thank you Asher! Yes, that top post holds near and dear to me x

Comment 2018-07-12 03:34:27 @gillianpearce   @gillianpearce , that's good to hear. I didn't even go out today, except for a minute on the balcony! So so humid; that kind of heat where sweat is running just standing there 😂 ewww I know 😅Sent with Fast-Reply
Comment 2018-07-12 03:15:45 @jaichai   hahaha this is awesome @jaichai! You sound like my husband and I; we were often accused of being much younger than we are...after a few beers lol
Comment 2018-07-12 03:13:48 @wolfhart    When a man has a job to do he doesn't let the flesh take control of the situation hahaha I knew you had to be bs'ing!! As usual, thank you for the good laugh @wolfhart! I hope it all works out for you in the end...and you make your wife happy :)
Comment 2018-07-12 03:11:51 @glenalbrethsen   Thanks for taking the time to leave such a great "@glenalbrethsen" comment here :)
Comment 2018-07-12 03:10:00 @headchange   No worries about "being behind"; we all do have a real life too, separate from our steemit one haha Truthfully, I totally stopped paying attention to my rep score, and honestly there were times when I'd say to my husband, "oh look, I'm at 50.blah blah :) It can be like watching paint dry if you focus too much on it!
Comment 2018-07-12 03:06:30 @unyimeetuk   Thank you @unyimeetuk! I'm just happy people are noticing how talented you really are! :)
Comment 2018-07-12 03:04:27 @ilovepoorpeople   Thank you so much @ilovepoorpeople!! It's so kind of you to include me in your spotlight!! :) I'm going to drop this post to c-squared as well; they love a nice curation post like this! You're awesome!
Comment 2018-07-12 03:00:06 @tryskele   I had no idea about any of this @tryskele!! I too get migraines, although since menopause started (shhh!!), they've improved greatly, which by the way is the only benefit haha Your lack of migraines since the piercings is very telling!! I'm passing this post off to c-squared in the hopes of them popping by for a visit :)
Comment 2018-07-12 02:42:09 @insideoutlet   Is it corn?
Comment 2018-07-12 02:20:48 @insideoutlet   We don't have lollies like that. Our candy tends not to scare children :) Brian said tongue, but i see that's a no go too. I'll keep thinking on it!
Comment 2018-07-12 02:01:27 @dandays   Oh that is an awesome story!! I was worried it was going in the direction of "get out while the gettin's good" kind of thing :) A lot of aging singers can't pull that off. Never of you, @edprivat, but those lesser is who I'm referring to! Thanks for the the best story time @dandays! I just read your comment to Brian here, and he's now singing "Love is a Battlefield" lol
Comment 2018-07-12 01:58:36 @glenalbrethsen   You're post made me feel like when I'm watching something on tv, and at the really good part, I find out it's a "to be continued" thing! UGH!! Because this is not about me however, I will say that I was feeling your pain during this post. Going into business with a friend is a tricky thing, and I'm so sorry that you were left this way. It's akin to your spouse walking out on you and you never really no why. Not that I know you that well Glen, but you seem to have things figured out most of the time, so I'm very curious to read part 2. When might I expect it? Because now, I'm completely emotionally invested, and yes, it is about me a little bit :)
Comment 2018-07-12 01:51:06 @insideoutlet   The lollie type? Is that a weird aussie candy? :)
Comment 2018-07-12 01:35:42 @maverickinvictus   I tried to watch your video, but my internet is painfully slow at the moment, but I'm coming back to it for sure!! I love the story of sharing lips on a shot glass though...anything is sexy when we're kids :) At home, in Canada, we say "Cheers!", but here in Mexico, it's "Salut!" (you don't pronounce the 't' though :) Cheers my friend :) I am holding a drink by the way!!
Comment 2018-07-12 01:32:09 @insideoutlet   I missed last week, but would have never guesses that!! This week, I'm going with a snake. And if you ask me what kind, I'll say "a red one" lol
Comment 2018-07-11 23:48:48 @particleman   Thank you for sharing my posts @particleman alongside these other great ones! I appreciate it as always :)
Comment 2018-07-11 23:00:03 @pifc   That's awesome news about the delegation! Thank you @erodedthoughts so much for the support! Wish I was in a position to do the same :)
Comment 2018-07-11 22:35:12 @zipporah   You're most welcome! And I for one am so pleased that you changed courses and went with this. I look forward to glimpses of the rest of your trip:)
Comment 2018-07-11 22:33:18 @vgholdingsllc   As a Canadian, I of course think that coin is beautiful, and nothing says a day of fun like Dinosaurs and the heart of Jesus :) There's some serious mixed messages going on there lol
Comment 2018-07-11 22:30:57 @themanwithnoname   hahaha yes you have!! Word to the wise @vgholdingsllc, no drinking anything when you're talking to this guy :)
Comment 2018-07-11 22:29:06 @edprivat   This is one of my favorites @edprivat!! I love your take on it as usual; you gave me goosebumps today buddy :) Thanks for sharing an oldie, but a goodie!!
Comment 2018-07-11 22:28:21 @dandays   I wanted to be Pat Benetar!! Sang into my brush handle plenty to "Love is a battlefield" lol
Comment 2018-07-11 22:23:45 @zipporah   Thank you so much for sharing this post @zipporah! I've never been to the Taj Mahal but of course believed it to be beautiful from photos that I have seen, but your post, writing and photos, has created something entirely different for me!! The photos of the faces, the feet on the stairs, the quiet path on the way back, and of course you! All so awesome. And this, so I responded with the only thing I could then offer; that universally recognized expression that transcends language – a smile. You really made my heart smile today! Thank you :)
Comment 2018-07-11 22:07:00 @mirrors   I submitted his latest work to c-squared and curie, but directed them to his other works as better examples I think, of his talent. I see that c-squared has already visited his Mandela one, so I'm hoping they'll keep an eye out now in general. I also resteemed the Mandela post as newbieresteemday in the hopes of giving him more exposure. Fingers crossed :)
Comment 2018-07-11 21:56:12 @unyimeetuk   You are very welcome @unyimeetuk! And I see that c-squared has payed a visit here too :) I'm so pleased! If you ever need help with anything, please feel free to reach out to me. I'd be happy to help in any way that I can!
Comment 2018-07-11 21:53:06 @c-squared   Thank you @c-squared for stopping by!
Comment 2018-07-11 21:41:33 @paulag   Hey there @paulag :) You can make an entry for sure, but because of your rep, you just can't be featured in someone else's entry :) Now, you'll just have to find another excuse haha Just kidding, you have plenty on your plate, I know!! Your own Leagues are growing like crazy I see!!
Comment 2018-07-11 21:34:48 @unyimeetuk   Wow @unyimeetuk! You are amazing! I saw your Nelson Mandela work and commented over there then had to see if you had something more recent! Absolutely beautiful!! I've actually submitted this one to curie for you too. You totally deserve some recognition!
Comment 2018-07-11 21:23:54 @mirrors   Thank you for sharing this one @mirrors. I'm doing what I can to give it more here...so deserving!!
Comment 2018-07-11 21:23:15 @unyimeetuk   This is so unbelievable!! I absolutely love it and the fact that you showed your process is great. Thank you. I actually found your post through @mirrors curation post. I've also submitted your post to c-squared; they are an off-shoot of curie, and I'm hoping they will make a visit here! I also am a member of @newbieresteemday and am coming back as them to resteem your post in the hopes of you getting more exposure. I'll upvote as them too, so it'll erase my upvote, but their's is worth a whole lot more haha You just deserve more for this kind of work! Thank you for sharing :)
Comment 2018-07-11 21:22:18 @mirrors   Great choices @mirrors!! I saw the first part of the brewery series, so cool, and that mural!!, drink wine instead of water, works for me too, but that pencil drawing of Nelson Mandela is spectacular!!
Comment 2018-07-11 21:18:03 @rwedegis   I love a castle!! These photos are beautiful :) It's so cool to imagine life there when it was all in tact. Thank you so much for sharing Roger!
Comment 2018-07-11 21:10:33 @themanwithnoname   That's really cool! I didn't know that bit of history. 1965. Interesting year...it also happens to be when I was born :) It really is a nice looking piece!
Comment 2018-07-11 21:08:39 @appreciator   Nice job @appreciator! Thank you for supporting all @steemitbloggers and @elegance too :)
Comment 2018-07-11 21:04:42 @roselifecoach   This is so interesting @roselifecoach! It's amazing what our bodies and minds are capable of, if only we harness the energy! :) Congratulations on the @steemitbloggers rally uptvote too!
Comment 2018-07-11 21:04:03 @rwedegis   I love a castle!! These photos are beautiful :) It's so cool to imagine life there when it was all in tact. Thank you so much for sharing Roger!
Comment 2018-07-11 20:59:06 @steemitbloggers   Way to be @steemitbloggers :)
Comment 2018-07-11 20:30:18 @mirrors   hahaha that's like saying "the devil made me do it" lol
Comment 2018-07-11 20:28:48 @exyle   Nice to meet you @exyle...which just happened once removed through Asher's post, and which included a very familiar looking photo as yours from fours days ago haha Congratulations for taking the time, energy and discipline for healthy living. I fell off the gym wagon not that long ago, and your post is giving me the push to jump back on, whether I feel like it or not :) It is always a nice motivation when you can already see some differences in the bod though, isn't it? :)
Comment 2018-07-11 20:21:42 @abh12345   I love your personal posts Asher! So awesome that you could meet up and have such a conversation in real life!! I often think it would be great to do a world tour, stopping and meeting steemit friends along the way. And of course having a beer or two with all of them :) You're totally like me; whenever I've been out somewhere cool, later I inevitably say out loud, "shit, I should have taken some pictures" haha Now that Belgium is out, I can say, Goooo England :)
Comment 2018-07-11 20:09:33 @paulag   You're pretty great @paulag! This post shows to your considerate character, and it's something I really appreciate :)
Comment 2018-07-11 10:44:00 @wolfhart   That's interesting because often it tends to run in the family so to speak. I'm really creative, and have actually dabbled in watercolor painting, but I don't come close to this kind of talent.
Comment 2018-07-11 10:42:06 @gillianpearce   oh my gosh, that's amazing @gillianpearce! Thank you so much for sharing that! The English teacher in me is almost giddy :)
Comment 2018-07-11 10:40:45 @bengy   I believe in presentation, but when it's for the family and everyone is hungry, it's simply, plate up :) That duck is an awesome product then for sure!
Comment 2018-07-11 10:39:36 @galenkp   You guys are funny. And what word might that be, dum dum ? In print, it might get lost in translation, so to be clear, I'm calling you dum dum :)
Comment 2018-07-11 10:37:39 @galenkp   I've enjoyed your travel posts tremendously @galenkp; I can't believe that 2 weeks have gone by, so I can only assume you might be feeling the same way. Perhaps as an alien, time doesn't register the same with you though. I'm so excited for you to reunite with T-dog haha That's crazy talk my friend :) Looking forward to the posts from your next leg of the journey. Have a safe flight!
Comment 2018-07-11 10:31:27 @bengy
Comment 2018-07-11 10:28:57 @goldendawne   I lived in Windsor, across the border from Detroit, and spent a summer working and living in Grosse Pointe :) hahaha of course you had no idea. It must have been interesting when you started to connect the dots!
Comment 2018-07-11 10:18:12 @glenalbrethsen   Thank you for doing the leg work Glen! The music video is weird, but I remember UB40 well, although not that song :) They look like a cross between a guy wearing a hazmat suit and an old time deep diving suit That's funny! This video is also weird...classic B-movie :) I wondered what TEAVIM meant as well. I guess this one overall doesn't have the guts of the other mural post you researched for me! I really appreciate the effort though :)
Comment 2018-07-11 10:14:42 @bengy   hahaha we did have a Tomato Queen chosen their every summer, but I definitely did not run in that race :)
Comment 2018-07-11 10:13:45 @bengy   Now that's funny!
Comment 2018-07-11 10:13:21 @insideoutlet   My 7 day positivity challenge was really a 6 day positivity challenge that lasted 3 weeks, but that's just way too long for a title :) Haha I know your age but will not tell, I can say that you look way to young to have a 20 year old lol love you :) And yes, life is the ride! Enjoy it because we only get one of them :) You stay happy and awesome too!!
Comment 2018-07-11 10:08:42 @mirrors   You're most welcome @mirrors; I was glad to hear it; you truly deserve it :)
Comment 2018-07-11 10:03:45 @mirrors   I've been judging thedarkhorse's weekly curation contest. Each entry has two or three posts so as a judge, we visit all of them; keeps me busy! After insideoutlet was away, I got used to not curating for asapers and am now trying to figure out how I did it all :)
Comment 2018-07-11 09:55:00 @iconnelly   I'm so glad you're back @iconnelly! I'm sorry I didn't get your discord notice til now, but I'm glad I saw it finally :) Life and love...we just keep trying til we find the right fit! You'll find yours; that I am sure of! Love the poem by the way. It's amazing how everyone's a poet when the words come from the heart!
Comment 2018-07-11 09:26:06 @asapers   These are some awesome choices @asapers!!
Comment 2018-07-11 09:25:24 @tripswithtam   Backpacking through Sweden sounds awesome! And I'm with you regarding time and clocks! I taught high school for years, and was always on such a schedule, that on the first day of summer, I removed my watch and didn't put it back on until the first day of school in September :) Of course you want pizza and that you're really smart :)
Comment 2018-07-11 09:20:45 @tripswithtam   Thank you @tripswithtam! Have a look at glenalbrethsen's comment here...I haven't responded yet, but he did all kinds of research on that quote! Really cool!
Comment 2018-07-11 09:18:39 @tripswithtam   You're very welcome! Thanks for checking it out :)
Comment 2018-07-11 09:18:09 @gillianpearce   I've never seen anyone painting anything here! Weird right? I keep hoping to though! I can't imagine the time that went into this one. I've got one more really cool one to show as well, and I can only assume that hours went into it as well!
Comment 2018-07-11 09:12:03 @hitmeasap   Just wanted to say hi @hitmeasap :) Glad to see your killing spree is improving!
Comment 2018-07-11 09:11:09 @doomsdaychassis   hahaha I'd say you fulfilled @idikuci's mission perfectly! I love that you included Forest Whitaker in there and that the police pepper sprayed their own eyes! But "The English" was the perfect icing on the cake...you should have included bad teeth too haha Good one @doomsdaychassis :)
Comment 2018-07-11 08:55:54 @tarazkp   Bingo! but you are preaching to the choir here :) Why can't everyone just get this though? What a nicer world this would be...if only.
Comment 2018-07-11 08:53:21 @janton   Actually, I've since replied to your comment...it was on my mural one :) And I know you were teasing haha, but right? who'd a thunk it? in Canada of all places :)
Comment 2018-07-11 08:52:18 @trincowski   That's so true! If you check out some of the openmic stuff too, the music talent is amazing as well! But like you, I am in awe of the artists here :)
Comment 2018-07-11 08:50:24 @lynncoyle1   That's interesting because often it tends to run in the family so to speak. I'm really creative, and have actually dabbled in watercolor painting, but I don't come close to this kind of talent.
Comment 2018-07-11 08:48:03 @janton   Both gillian and I have been referred to as lovely over there :) And I was so in awe of that mural, that I forgot to look for a signature. If I can find it again, I'll have a look. I just start walking and wandering and stumble upon these things!
Comment 2018-07-11 08:46:12 @mirrors   He's a tough one to beat these days! I have enough going on as well that I don't even try to :)
Comment 2018-07-11 08:45:30 @janton   hahaha you worry too much. Actually, I take a day or two off weekly. Perhaps that "someone" is me if I decide not too some day :)
Comment 2018-07-11 08:44:27 @mirrors   The globalists are on to something I'd say. It's a nice way to view the world :)
Comment 2018-07-11 08:43:33 @crowbarmama   Those teacher who are in it for the vacation days drive me crazy! I poured my heart and soul into because I believe it is such an important job. I actually have kids, now adults, who stay in touch with me because of it :) But my sons can now count on one hand the "good" teachers they had going through the public school system. I totally get homeschooling. I agree with your idea about kids taking time off too. Both of my sons have done that; one is 20 and going to college in September, the other 23 and still working at a good job that he enjoys, which is totally fine with me. I'm glad they didn't incur all kinds of debt for something they're not going to use...or like.
Comment 2018-07-11 08:34:30 @accelerator   Thank you for delegating to @mirrors and following asapers. @jaynie is the one who started @steemitbloggers, not sure if you know it, but she curates from that group, of which I am a member. She also writes a regular minnow curation post too. I know that she has been away taking care of her father, but I'm hoping she'll pop by since I tagged her. I'll drop her a line as well. @insideoutlet is one of the founders of asapers. I appreciate your comment to me very much and for recognizing the "hidden" work that I do. That alone means plenty. I would appreciate any support from you, but I'm not exactly sure how you would go about it since I don't have curation posts to upvote. Are you suggesting upvoting my other posts? If so, I understand your "spreadsheet" comment then too. Truthfully, I'm a little unclear of the "input" you're looking for :) Thanks again...for all of this :)
Comment 2018-07-11 08:02:18 @abh12345   haha not weird...hilarious. I hear he likes beer. A lot :) As long as he's not licking toads, it's all good :)
Comment 2018-07-11 07:59:00 @wolfhart   haha I still love my mood ring pal :)
Comment 2018-07-11 07:58:39 @wolfhart   hahaha @wolfhart, that's funny, but it's not :) I love how the post is written sounding so frantic too, like your day. You survived it though buddy!! Good job :) Damn camera. It's not you, that I know.
Comment 2018-07-11 07:50:24 @glenalbrethsen    Sit Right Back And You'll Hear A Tale a tale of a fateful trip... :) I've been humming the theme song to Gilligan's Island for hours now. We all seem to be having a sort of steemit mid-life crisis I see! What I realized after my post like yours, is that we all do what we can, when we can and what works for us. That's it. I'm assuming that there's always a way to have quicker growth, but it really doesn't matter if you're not happy with what you are doing. I did have to laugh about you thinking this was just about writing posts and figuring out what people want to read! Me too! It really doesn't take long to realize in the beginning, we are posting to the air haha I wish that we could re-post our earlier "good stuff" that no one ever saw. Thanks for continuing this conversation. @headchange just wrote a lovely post too about it all, and @tryskele had an interesting comment as well. I'm essentially tagging them both, but have a look at it Glen because I'm sure you'll have something worthwhile to add...you always do.
Comment 2018-07-11 07:24:21 @simplymike   Did I hear right @simplymike, that there was over 1000 comments going on there?
Comment 2018-07-11 07:23:24 @themanwithnoname   Thank you @themanwithnoname! It's always a pleasure engaging with you :) Congratulations to you too!
Comment 2018-07-11 07:22:12 @mirrors   haha congratulations @mirrors! Consider my back watched :)
Comment 2018-07-11 07:21:24 @wolfhart   Thank you for that and congratulations to you too @wolfhart!
Comment 2018-07-11 07:19:21 @janton   Congratulations @janton! Great job again this week!!! You are holding on to that first place cowboy hat crown tightly I see :)
Comment 2018-07-11 07:17:21 @headchange   Congratulations @headchange! Nice work :)
Comment 2018-07-11 07:15:36 @buckaroo   Thank you @buckaroo! That's very kind of you ;)
Comment 2018-07-11 07:14:21 @bashadow   Thank you @bashadow! I've recently been reminded that we all do what we can, when we can. And that's perfectly ok! Congratulations to you for making this league, for your work with IFC, steemmonster writing, and all the commenting, upvoting and helping you do!
Comment 2018-07-11 07:09:54 @glenalbrethsen   What a lovely comment Glen! So, as a simple idea, I'm still going to say it has profound, and at some point, widespread ramifications. Perfectly said :) I cannot add a thing!
Comment 2018-07-11 07:04:12 @abh12345   I was intrigued by the posts that resulted from your last one. Glen and themanwithnoname for example wrote a "thank you" post to the list you generated. That's pretty cool! I'm curious what's to come from this one. People really seem to love them :)
Comment 2018-07-11 07:00:39 @headchange   Such a well done post @headchange! I'm honored that you included me here as well. So I offer heartfelt thanks to all of those who shine a bit of light on the road ahead. What an awesome thing to say!! You're smart to have figured out to "follow those who are a step ahead", and I share your optimism in thinking that things will be sorted out too! I remember this feeling, like @tryskele describes in her comment: Just like now we're in an oddball gap. We're not newbies, we're not even officially minnows yet. It's a bit of a no-man's land. You're not brand new and receiving "newbie" support, but you're not "old" enough to be earning yourself. It's a strange time for sure. I read once that each 10 point increment in your reputation gets exponentially more difficult. So, we start at 25 and move to 35 quickly, and think, "well, this is fun, and not too difficult"; then 35 to 45 takes that much longer, and we think it's all still manageable, then 45 to 55 takes even longer and all of these questions start to arise. I often wonder if the questions comes because of the time and work it keeps taking to grow. Someone told me, "just wait until you try to get from 60 to 70". Very encouraging haha I know that when I started, I decided to comment a lot. But I also made a choice to not only comment on those of my own rep, because you do benefit from a community where you all grow and support each other, but also on those much higher than me. It wasn't anything false or disingenuous, because I only commented on things I was interested in. And I continued to comment on those until I was noticed...by some. And there's nothing "icky" about working yourself a bit to get noticed if in fact it is all real and genuine commenting. And let's face it, if we are looking for someone "bigger" to support us, there's not reason why we shouldn't support them as well. I also haven't invested any of my own funds in steemit. I have been fortunate to have been assisted by some awesome support, but my growth has been organic nonetheless. And that kind of growth takes time. What I realized after reading all of the comments on my post, is that it's a bad idea to compare ourselves to others here when it comes to growth. Every situation is so different; time, money etc invested. We each do what is right for us, others do what is right for them. I don't know what the real answer is here, but like you, I'm following what's happening in the payitforward discord too. With so many in the same boat, I'd like to think, like I said in the beginning of this long-winded comment :), that it can somehow get sorted out :)
Comment 2018-07-11 06:20:03 @abh12345   I love that he's talking in third person :) Of course he's the kind of guy that would be happy to hear such news!
Comment 2018-07-11 06:14:45 @thedarkhorse   Isn't awesome that you're/we're able to give out so many prizes for this contest! Thanks to all the sponsors too! I love it! Congratulations to the winners. Great job last week; there wasn't one entry that I didn't enjoy :)
Comment 2018-07-11 06:11:27 @lyndsaybowes   Hooray! You dominated Heart Attack Hill :) These photos are beautiful; the boys, the flowers and the weather. What a difference a season makes; when I think of the photos from a few months ago...grey, dreary...this is so beautiful! Thanks for sharing :)
Comment 2018-07-11 05:58:33 @happycrazycon   You said it @happycrazycon! Motherhood has taken a bit of slam over the years in terms of considering a job, but once you do it...well let me just say it was the hardest job I've ever had 😎 but totally worth it!!Sent with Fast-Reply
Comment 2018-07-11 05:57:33 @janton   @janton, I'll have to check out Asher's post; for some reason I seem to have missed a few comments from people. I wouldn't ignore you buddy! Now, more importantly, we totally have real cowboys in Canada. In Calgary, there are rednecks who wear cowboy hats daily!! Totally not kidding there 😎 Now, at the stampede, there are plenty of wanna be cowboys, and the real ones make fun of them all the time!Sent with Fast-Reply
Comment 2018-07-11 05:55:33 @glenalbrethsen   Satire or not @glenalbrethsen, it's a sad state of affairs. I was hoping it was different here, but that's a little too optimistic, even for me 😂Sent with Fast-Reply
Comment 2018-07-11 05:54:33 @artemisnorth   It is my all time favorite quote @artemisnorth!! That's funny you used to use it! Guess what? I grew up on a tomato farm. Not kidding😎Sent with Fast-Reply

Comment 2018-07-11 05:52:33 @scrawly   You wouldn't have to judge it @scrawly, just enter it with your own curation post, which you are doing. My bad, I didn't explain that so well hahaSent with Fast-Reply
Comment 2018-07-11 05:51:36 @scrawly   @scrawly, Agent 99 was from an old tv series called "Get Smart". Secret agents with shoe phones haha, but Agent 99 was sexy, smart and very cool 😎Sent with Fast-Reply

Comment 2018-07-11 05:35:54 @wolfhart   No kidding @wolfhart ! It really is something. I've got one more spectacular one I found that I'll write about too. I can draw stickmen, so I'm totally impressed with them!Sent with Fast-Reply
Comment 2018-07-11 05:34:42 @thedarkhorse   That's why I said that about the bounty because I'd noticed that you did upvote. Thank you for that 😂 I think 55 is good. There were a lot of good entries that came out of last weeks and I'm assuming the reputation change was a big part of it. We'll just have to wait and see what this week brings now. Sent with Fast-Reply
Comment 2018-07-11 05:33:12 @wolfhart   Just imagine if a "regular" person could run it @wolfhart! Like you. But you're not totally regular now are you? 😎Sent with Fast-Reply
Comment 2018-07-11 05:32:12 @thedarkhorse   Hopefully the resteem helps @thedarkhorse. I'm not doing another post til tomorrow or the next day, so it'll sit at the top for a bit 😅Sent with Fast-Reply
Comment 2018-07-11 05:31:12 @themanwithnoname   Desperate is right I think. The population is now about 500,000 though, so recognized? I don't think so, but yes, let's remember the moral here hahaSent with Fast-Reply

Comment 2018-07-11 05:28:12 @crowbarmama   You're most welcome @crowbarmama; thanks for the invite! I taught high school English, History, and Special Needs at a Fine Arts School. It was awesome, so much creativity; I loved it! Then I met my now husband (@briancourteau), and my interests took a turn. He worked for a franchised restaurant (Head Office), so I took a leave from teaching and bought one of the restaurants; Like me, it was something he had always wanted to do too and we ended up deciding to do it over a pitcher of beer when one of the existing stores came up for sale haha . I only did if for a year and a half but loved that too. It was a specialty burger place, but with the franchise, I had all the support I needed to figure out what the hell I was doing haha My husband unfortunately got cancer, so we sold it, did the chemo thing (including other treatments), but nothing worked, so we decided to sell absolutely everything and retire early to Mexico to enjoy whatever time he's got left. We've been here a year now and he's still hanging on...some days are tough, but we enjoy every minute we have. Such is life ❤️ Yes, regarding the twin thing; I've heard it plenty 😎 I'll tag you for sure whenever I get around to the post!Sent with Fast-Reply

Comment 2018-07-11 05:20:42 @happycrazycon   haha that's funny @happycrazycon! Isn't interesting what we think we want to do when we're younger, compared to when we are older. That's why I never pushed too much on my senior students the idea of "what do you want to do after high school?"...too much pressure and most of us had no idea at that age 😂Sent with Fast-Reply

Comment 2018-07-11 05:08:03 @beeyou   Hey @beeyou! I actually used to write all the time; English teacher after all :) Real life just got in the way, but now I remember how much I enjoy it. I hear you about the descriptive details; so many get caught up with too much of it that it takes away from the story, in my humble opinion :) I know what you mean about not knowing what's going to happen next. That's the beauty of fiction; it often happens as you write!Sent with Fast-Reply

Comment 2018-07-11 05:04:15 @soundwavesphoton   You are most welcome @soundwavesphoton! I guess like the quote, "the road to hell is paved with good intentions", we can also say "the road to the golden path is paved with shit" haha
Comment 2018-07-11 05:00:24 @kennyvaldez   hahaha that's funny!! And if we're smart and willing to alter our views a bit, it's called middle age and old age too haha

Comment 2018-07-11 04:56:03 @jessicaoutside   So true @jessicaoutside; each experience is unique! Well said 😂 The contest is pretty simple: just find two posts whose authors are of reputation 55 or lower. Link them in your own post and say why you picked them/why they're worthy of a visit from the judges:) Some weeks there's a themed and optional third choice. The winners get a steembasicincome membershiptoo. Here's the link though with more details if you're interested 😅 Hope to see you there!Sent with Fast-Reply

Comment 2018-07-11 04:35:33 @melvadg   @melvadg, I didn't know you used a translator for everything either!! And congratulations on the miracle baby; I'm so happy for you ;)
Comment 2018-07-11 04:34:30 @goldendawne   @goldendawne, that's awesome! Gangsta' genes :) I had no idea!
Comment 2018-07-11 04:32:12 @tibfox   haha @tibfox, chocolate before going back to sleep. My husband, if he wakes up during the night, goes for chocolate chip cookies :) I also had a friend who thought she was going crazy because she was on a diet, going to the gym, but gaining weight, so her husband realized she was sleep walking and followed her one night. She went to the fridge, scarfed back everything she could get her hands off, and went back to bed. Mystery solved lol
Comment 2018-07-11 04:28:51 @crowbarmama   This is awesome! I read through all the comment too and love the interaction that you've got going here too! And the video...so darn cute; I loved it the most :) Most know I recently moved from Canada to Mexico, that I was a high school teacher for years, and that I owned and operated a restaurant for a while too. Most don't know that I'm a twin and that I was raised on a farm :)
Comment 2018-07-11 04:26:09 @crowbarmama   Thank you so much @crowbarmama for your comment; with four kids and one with allergies, congratulations to you for finding the time to be here at all :) After reading all of these great comments, I've remembered that what I decided to do or not do is perfectly fine! I'll check out your contest for sure! Cool idea :)
Comment 2018-07-11 04:17:30 @cicisaja   Aww @cicisaja, that is so lovely and kind of you to say! All of the wonderful comments here, like yours, have made me re-remember that what I do is good and if it works for me, that's good enough! :) And I'll always reply to you! Thank you @cicisaja, I really appreciate your comment here!
Comment 2018-07-11 04:15:15 @fionasfavourites   Awww thank you so much @fionasfavorites!! I did take Sunday and Monday off and feel all is back to normal. I did have some doubts when I wrote this post, and I made the mistake of comparing myself to a few others...something I never do and now I remember why that is :) I remembered that we all do what we want and what we can here, and that there is no one right thing, it's only what's right for each of us that's important. These lovely comments, including yours, helped me remember that! Thank you again :)
Comment 2018-07-11 04:06:36 @lovenfreedom   Wow! Thank you so much for that @lovenfreedom; that's so nice of you to say! And with 4 children and one crawling, it's a wonder you're hear at all haha After reading all of these comments, I realized that I am doing everything right...for me. What others do or achieve is just that; "others". I had a moment of doubt when I wrote this post, but have things sorted out again in my head. It's so nice to meet you! Thanks again for an awesome comment :)
Comment 2018-07-11 04:00:33 @davemccoy   haha @davemccoy, that's great! You always make this Queen smile!! And you're most welcome! It's just that the post was also numbers related, so you know how I am with that! I understood it, but couldn't really articulate it so well 😅Sent with Fast-Reply
Comment 2018-07-11 03:58:33 @bashadow   Good to hear @bashadow; I think the palooza should be a big hit!Sent with Fast-Reply
Comment 2018-07-11 03:55:03 @richq11   haha @richq11, no problem! The gist of it is that you just have to find 2 posts, who's authors are of a 55 reputation or less, and make a post with their links with a quick explanation why you chose them. Absolutely no pressure though, but if you do decide to do it, feel free to ask me any questions 😅Sent with Fast-Reply
Comment 2018-07-11 03:52:33 @shibasaki   You are most welcome @shibasaki !Sent with Fast-Reply
Comment 2018-07-11 03:52:03 @simplymike   No problem @simplymike!!! Real life always comes first :) Sad about their loss today, but there's still hope for third place I guess!Sent with Fast-Reply

Comment 2018-07-11 03:50:03 @alequandro   That is so true @alequandro! I moved from Canada to Mexico and although there can be litter and some "ugly" here, I've stumbled across the most beautiful murals painted on ugly cement cinder block walls! There really is beautiful places everywhere 😅Sent with Fast-Reply
Comment 2018-07-11 03:39:06 @jamesartville   Oh @jamesartville, I am so sorry to hear that! I wish I had some magic words to help you heal, but unfortunately I don't. Time will make it easier, but that does you no good now; give yourself time to heal and move on when you're able. In the meantime, you have to mourn the loss, like a death, and process your feelings accordingly. It's normal, if that's at all helpful, but not the least bit an easy thing to do. Sending lots of positive vibes your way!! Sent with Fast-Reply
Comment 2018-07-11 03:33:33 @profanereviews   What???? @profanereviews that's awesome!!!!!!!!! How? Where? I have such a huge smile on my face right now...so happy for you!!!❤️Sent with Fast-Reply
Comment 2018-07-11 03:32:33 @canadianrenegade   hahaha @canadianrenegade, that makes sense to me 😎 I am a twin with a brother 14 months older than me. My mom says she has several blurry years for sure hahaSent with Fast-Reply

Comment 2018-07-11 03:29:48 @svedenmacher   Thank you @svedenmacher; I appreciate that very much! I just had to crop the photos to show how amazing they were :)
Comment 2018-07-11 03:28:45 @youhavewings   Thank you so much @youhavewings! I never thought of it like that...what a beautiful thought. I normally don't pimp my own posts, but check out the one I did a couple of days ago. It is the most amazing one I've seen! Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate it!
Comment 2018-07-11 03:27:00 @tripswithtam   Thank you @tripswithtam, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Someone pointed out to me that on the tape it says, "The earth dies screaming"!! Also intriguing I'd say :) And the tiger was is huge, isn't it?! I would have loved to be here when it was in progress. I did a post a couple days ago on another mural that blew all of these out of the water. It was jungle greenery, the ocean as a backdrop, and some animals, but absolutely gorgeous. Most construction here is cinder block based, so grey upon grey; these murals add so much color and beauty to something rather dull. Even houses are so brightly painted or have murals of some kind painted on them. I'm not sure where you are, but I'm from Canada, and most cringe in the neighborhood if a house gets painted something bright :) This is a nice change!
Comment 2018-07-11 03:20:39 @glenalbrethsen   I've always heard the tear drop is about killing someone too, so hopefully that's not what it means here :) Someone pointed out to me that the cassette tape in the one photo says, "The earth dies screaming"!! I'd not noticed that at all! I'm with you regarding the tagger. Thankfully, I don't see much of it around here! I did a post a couple days ago on another mural that blew all of these out of the water. Also, no deep meaning there (it was jungle greenery, the ocean as a backdrop, and some animals), but absolutely beautiful. You probably know that most construction here is cinder block based, so grey upon grey. These murals add so much color and beauty to what can be pretty dull. Plus, it helps me ignore all the garbage littered around :)
Comment 2018-07-11 03:13:39 @thereikiforest   You're nearly bubbling right out of my computer screen!!! Thank you @thereikiforest :) You are pretty awesome! I normally don't pimp my own posts, but I wrote another one the other day that was the most beautiful and intricate one I've seen! :) Thank you again for the wonderful comment!!!

Comment 2018-07-11 03:11:03 @galenkp   Yes @galenkp, nature and humanity can be cruel, but also very beautiful. I know you're already jaded though, so I won't start listing examples here, but hey, you met me here, so there's one amazing thing that's come from steemit 😎 History does have some horrible instances of greed and mans' inhumanity to man. We're supposed to learn from it though. I don't need to ask you if we have! Perhaps I'm an alien as well and that's why we have connected so well.Sent with Fast-Reply
Comment 2018-07-11 03:06:06 @mirrors   He has been stealing the show there for a few weeks now @mirrors! He does have a real "voice" in his posts, I agree 😅Sent with Fast-Reply

Comment 2018-07-11 02:59:33 @moderndayhippie   haha @moderndayhippie, that's awesome..."peace, love and hippie shit"...words to live by ! There was a "thing" going around before regarding posts that explain your steemit name. It was a big hit, but of course I can't remember it now 😅 I think it's still a great idea, especially with yours!Sent with Fast-Reply
Comment 2018-07-11 02:55:30 @looserwin   You're welcome @looserwin, I really enjoyed it and was totally able to make it bigger on my computer 😅Sent with Fast-Reply

Comment 2018-07-11 02:52:33 @freedomshift   ahh I see, @freedomshift. I took a couple of days off steemit and am trying to catch up on all of my comments, but now I am very curious to have a look!Sent with Fast-Reply

Comment 2018-07-11 02:31:03 @goldendawne   I have a sense of accomplishment at harvest time, but with "regular" vegetables or anything that needs pulling out at the end of the season...that makes me sad! Yours do look beautiful by the way!! and I talk to my plants all of the time. I see them as living beings :)
Comment 2018-07-11 02:27:21 @prostosun   I remember as a kid, how excited I would get when I got a brand new box of crayons, and a little older, a fresh box of pencil crayons. Do you still feel this way? :) Love the orchids :)
Comment 2018-07-11 02:23:15 @goldendawne   I stood and stared at it and took pictures for so long; I'm sure anyone watching might have thought I was a little crazy haha It is "vibrant" though, isn't it?! That's the perfect word choice! Thanks for stopping by @goldendawne; hope you are well :)
Comment 2018-07-11 02:21:39 @janton   Thank you @janton; I'm heading to my other comments after I finish those on this post. I actually took Sunday and Monday off, so I'm a little behind :) Congratulations to you as well...old man :)
Comment 2018-07-11 02:19:39 @pifc   Thank you @pifc; I appreciate you stopping by! All construction is cinder block based here, so basically it's ugly and grey, so even "regular" houses, apartment buildings, stores are painted bright colors. Something we tend to cringe at back home, but it works here :)
Comment 2018-07-11 02:17:51 @prostosun   Thank you @prostosun! These photos turned out well, but in real life, it was even more captivating :) Thank you for stopping by :)
Comment 2018-07-11 02:17:06 @zaimrofiqi   Thank you @zaimrofiqi! They really are beautiful and I'm glad you enjoyed them :)
Comment 2018-07-11 02:16:27 @byn   Thank you @byn! I'm glad you enjoyed it :) Construction is all cinder block based here, so the murals add such color and beauty to the ugly grey of everything. I've noticed people's houses have such colorful paint jobs too...there's no taupe or beige anything here. Back at home (Canada) and the States, we just don't do color well, do we? :)
Comment 2018-07-11 02:13:42 @happycrazycon   Thank you for enjoying it so enthusiastically @happycrazycon!! :) I'm glad you liked it! I had to stop and stare at it for so long...I'm sure anyone watching me must have thought I was crazy haha
Comment 2018-07-11 02:11:48 @wolfhart   hahaha @wolfhart, that is hilarious!!! shade abuse killed me and you noticed the barbed wire too! I tried to crop it out of the photos, but I thought is showed more why someone would want to "pretty" the whole thing up! I'm still laughing!
Comment 2018-07-11 02:10:15 @steven-patrick   I remember years ago being in San Francisco and riding the trolley. It really seemed like a great throwback to early days; so cool that they kept it all :) Love these photos @steven-patrick. I hadn't thought about that for years!
Comment 2018-07-11 02:08:06 @cecicastor   There are so many murals and talented artists around here; it's really incredible! This one is truly beautiful though and would look spectacular on a wall the size that you have! I'm going to search online to see if I can find out more about them all. Thanks for stopping by @cecicastor!
Comment 2018-07-11 02:05:42 @themanwithnoname   Thank you @themanwithnoname; I was so amazed when I saw it! And it was tucked in a corner of a street that intersects with more of a walking street with very few cars. Besides my last post where I shared the one that had been tagged, I thankfully don't notice much tagging here, probably because they seem to have their own form of vigilante justice. I've seen a "pack" of guys running after one guy who stole a ladies purse, and from what I've seen on the news and heard around here, you wouldn't want to be that guy if and when he got caught.
Comment 2018-07-11 02:02:51 @steven-patrick   Thank you @steven-patrick, I think so too. I had to stop and stare at it for a long time. I love the frog too and was amazed at the fact that it really did seem to "come right out of the second photo" :)
Comment 2018-07-11 02:01:39 @oluwashinaayomi   Thank you very much @oluwashinaayomi; I completely agree :)
Comment 2018-07-11 02:01:03 @aduragbemi   It is freaking awesome, isn't it?!! I'm so glad that you enjoyed it! And although the photos I took turned out pretty good, it was even more unbelievable in 'real life'. Thanks for stopping by @aduragbemi :)
Comment 2018-07-11 02:00:09 @janton   Thank you @janton, and I agree with you about the palms. If I hadn't seen them with my bare eyes, I'd wonder the same :) I'm going to look back at news articles to see if I can find out anything about the artists. Every week there's an outdoor art exhibit with painters, photographers, jewelry crafters etc, and I'm beginning to wonder if any of them participate there as well.
Comment 2018-07-11 01:57:36 @gillianpearce   haha @gillianpearce, there are plenty of bare walls left, but I have never seen so many murals in one little city before :)
Comment 2018-07-11 01:57:03 @bengy   I do too @bengy! I posted some that are even nicer than this a long time ago, before I had an audience, so to speak. I think I'll do a recap post on them because they deserve more attention :) All of the construction here is done with cement blocks, so there's a lot of ugly grey around. These murals just add so much. I'm glad you enjoyed them!
Comment 2018-07-11 01:54:45 @liltammy   Thank you very much @liltammy! They have so many beautiful ones here too :)
Comment 2018-07-11 01:48:39 @tarazkp   I completely agree @tarazkp, and it's a matter of communication where people actually listen to someone else's point as opposed to only figuring out their next retaliatory argument. There's a little something I like to call fair fighting; no personal attacks, no insults, look for a compromise, like you stated here, agree to disagree when you can't meet that compromise, no generalizations, no degrading language, and if you're angry, wait to comment the next day when you've had time to cool down :) Works the same with relationships in our real lives as well I think.
Comment 2018-07-11 01:39:27 @f3nix   Hey sorry I didn't get around to an entry, but I'm making another effort on your new one tomorrow. The road to hell is paved with good intentions blah blah blah :) I will continue to put it in any Discord channel I can and help spread the word for you regardless :) Congratulations to all of the winners here too!!
Comment 2018-07-11 01:35:21 @freedomshift   Why do you doubt it @freeedomshift? :) That's very generous of you to do!
Comment 2018-07-11 01:34:03 @freedomshift   Again @freedomshift?!!! Hooray :)
Comment 2018-07-11 01:33:24 @cicisaja   Your generosity is great @cicisaja! I love you two :) I'm getting to the entries first thing tomorrow!
Comment 2018-07-11 01:32:12 @freedomshift   awww @freedomshift, that's awesome :)
Comment 2018-07-11 01:31:39 @dipoabasch   Way to go @dipoabasch! I love your generosity and look forward to your entry :)
Comment 2018-07-11 01:30:51 @thedarkhorse   I kept wondering why you weren't posting this week's contest and then ginabot notified me of a mention in a comment here :) I found out she was down for a bit, so hopefully I haven't missed anymore! I like that you made the cutoff of 55 reputation and that you're only upvoting entries regarding steem-bounty (that might not be new; I may have missed it before :) I loved last weeks' entries and looking forward to this. 15 weeks and holding!!
Comment 2018-07-11 01:04:45 @sumatranate   You are most welcome @sumatranate! Pleasure to meet you too :)
Comment 2018-07-11 01:02:39 @trincowski   Thanks again for another great entry @trincowski; you always do find some pretty cool artwork!
Comment 2018-07-11 01:01:21 @stahlberg   Wow! It's difficult to even tell it's digital! So cool :) I found your post because @trincowski featured you in our Pay it Forward contest where I am one of the judges :) It is a weekly event, so please feel free to join in any time :)
Comment 2018-07-11 00:59:51 @daio   Wow! I love this sexy woman! And I really like how you explained your process as well as showing photos of it too! I found your post because @trincowski featured you in our Pay it Forward contest where I am one of the judges :) It is a weekly event, so please feel free to join in any time :)
Comment 2018-07-11 00:57:33 @danielsaori   Ok, here is my reply. Nice choice once again :) haha @looserwin, I thought this was very clever; a really literal and funny way to look at an apple a day keeps the doctor away :) Thank you for sharing your process too; not being an artist, I love to see what actually goes into something so creative like this! If I can make one technical bit of advice, it would be leaving a link to allow us to enlarge your comic photos. Here's a post by @captainklaus from 6 months ago; I found it because I needed to do the same and looked at several before I found this one. He makes it so it's really easy to do! Thanks again, I really enjoyed your comic :)
Comment 2018-07-11 00:56:42 @abh12345   Thank you Asher for sponsoring this contest! You really have a knack for getting people to comment, as of course does Daniel with this contest :)

Comment 2018-07-11 00:40:30 @glenalbrethsen   As you know, Asher is my proxy, but I like the idea of you choosing out of the top 20. I know that you haven't chosen all 30, and I know that "I" have, so if you're ever interested in looking at mine/Asher's list, I'd be happy to share it.
Comment 2018-07-11 00:30:42 @practicalthought   Hi @practicalthought, I also didn't know much about many of them, and I don't give up control lightly, but after getting to know @abh12345, and what he stands for here, I gave him my proxy. There have been times where I've read something about a witness and had an open dialogue with Asher (abh12345) and ended up agreeing with why the person wasn't on "our" witness list. He's also very clear in the fact that if I ever want to take my proxy back, that would be ok too. I don't know if it's anything you're interested in, but I'm sure he would give you his list and you could narrow down your research a bit? Just a suggestion :)
Comment 2018-07-11 00:26:33 @thedarkhorse   Good idea @thedarkhorse! I'm hoping this takes off for you :) Resteeming it to spread the word too.
Comment 2018-07-11 00:26:00 @gillianpearce   What a great idea for an exhibit @gillianpearce; I love it! The photos are spectacular too, but I can just imagine what the whole thing looked like...so beautiful :)
Comment 2018-07-11 00:23:48 @jfolkmann   Hey @jfolkmann, nice to see a fellow Canadian here :) I'm originally from Ontario, but spent most of my adult life in BC. It's funny, but I was just telling a Texan @janton about the Calgary stampede today, because he did a post on early 20's cattle drives in the states. I was way off with the numbers attending! That's incredible. Funny thing is, I never made it to the stampede, mostly because I'm not a fan of the whole rodeo thing. But I love a good fair :) We've relocated to Mexico now, and there was recently a midway set up near our place...let me just say, the safety standards are lacking here compared to home :)
Comment 2018-07-11 00:18:03 @insideoutlet   Finally, you caved haha I was nominated twice and waited a few weeks before I did mine :) So please, for the love of god, don't nominate me during your series haha I love the movie Click; it's a great message! Like yours here too. I had a sister-in law whose kids were younger than another sister-in-law. She was always comparing her younger children to her older nephews and wishing for "the days when mine are that age". I used to think that she was missing out on so much enjoyment, simply waiting for time to pass. Made me sad really. I love your idea of percentage and time too; I never considered that, mostly because me and numbers don't make a good marriage, but your explanation made perfect sense. I'm sure you will find these years with a child go even quicker...percentages or not! I spoke to my youngest today for a long time and just can't believe he's 20 already! Yikes, I must have had them when I was 12 lol
Comment 2018-07-11 00:00:33 @byn   Oh @byn! It's terrible that they deleted your channel! Why on earth would they do that?? I love the rare footage that you found though :) And congrats on the @steemitbloggers booster too :)
Comment 2018-07-10 23:40:21 @jaynie   Way to go jaynie! And congratulations @fionasfavorites :) I just realized that c-squared might share a little love with the member boost posts as well. We'll see :)
Comment 2018-07-10 22:47:30 @angelacs   UGH @angelacs! I missed your post somehow in thedarkhorse's contest. I'm too late to upvote, but not too late to say thank you for entering! Love your choices :)
Comment 2018-07-10 22:45:36 @scrawly   This is awesome @scrawly! I love the story behind it too; it's interesting how there's so many similar stories in other cultures (ex/Greek Mythology)! I found your post because @bengy featured you in a Pay it Forward Contest where I am one of the judges. It's a weekly contest and we would love for you to join us next week :)
Comment 2018-07-10 22:42:12 @veryspider   haha this is an awesome fail @veryspider :) I found your post because I'm one of the judges in thedarkhorse's Pay it Forward weekly contest; you should consider joining with a post of your own this week, we'd love to have you there!
Comment 2018-07-10 22:36:36 @bengy   Thank you for the entry again this week @bengy! I love your choices as well as all of your edits haha Tells me you are a bit of a perfectionist :)
Comment 2018-07-10 21:49:51 @moderndayhippie   I'm one of the judges in the Pay it Forward Curation contest you were featured in this week. I'm a little late to the party haha, but I am so glad I made it to read this post! Your thoughts as a veteran really appeal to me; I love your frank honesty here. I've also often wondered about your steemit name, but this post gives me a little glimpse into that too :)
Comment 2018-07-10 21:44:09 @viking-ventures   Thank you for the entry @viking-ventures :) Now I understand your comment regard edouard in the asapers chat on discord :) And I really like moderndayhippie as well :)
Comment 2018-07-10 21:42:09 @donna-metcalfe   Thank you so much for the entry @donna-metcalfe :) It's great to see the choices when everyone isn't restricted by reputation level.
Comment 2018-07-10 21:38:51 @dipoabasch   Thank you for another great entry @dipoabasch :)
Comment 2018-07-10 21:25:21 @mirrors   Hey @mirrors! This is a small world after all :) Nice to see you here!
Comment 2018-07-10 21:23:33 @accelerator   Hey there @accelerator! What an awesome initiative you've started here :) I'm a bit in the background as far as curating goes; I curate for asapers, judge for thedarkhorse's weekly curation contest, and pass on all kinds of posts to @c-squared. So I find something like this so worthwhile! In my travels, there's a few that I pass on regularly to c-squared, so I'm tagging them in the hopes that they may qualify :) Thanks again for what you are doing! @mirrors @jaynie
Comment 2018-07-10 21:06:03 @wolfhart   Sounds a bit like the Canadian healthcare system :) It really makes me sick though that vets are not given what they deserve; I guess everyone deserves proper health care, don't they?! That is the good thing about ours, it's available to everyone, but that's not saying it's perfect, that's for sure! Sorry what you have to go through. You remind me of my dad; he often says things like this to his doctors : "if you plan on sticking that thing in me, you best be prepared for the same" haha
Comment 2018-07-10 21:03:57 @donna-metcalfe   Love that quote @donna-metcalfe! It's so true!!!
Comment 2018-07-10 21:02:06 @bengy   Looks delicious! And presentation comes second for me if it all tastes good...I'm old school that way :) Is the duck already cooked and you just need to heat it up? I joined in on the "lack of duck readily available in Canada" comment here too :)
Comment 2018-07-10 21:00:48 @artemisnorth   I'm originally from Ontario, lived most of my adult life in BC; I was thinking the same thing!! Why can't we get duck easily in Canada? Maybe too many see it as a cute bird :) Where in Ontario are you? Should I guess north, @artemisnorth? :)
Comment 2018-07-10 19:56:57 @mirrors   I love that you featured @janton here! He's a kick ;)
Comment 2018-07-10 19:55:45 @janton   Horse riding and hemorrhoids. That should have been your title haha We have a famous stamped in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, every summer, where thousands of people attend. Calgary is a lot like Texas :) Thankfully now, people have the sense to carry fresh water along the way and not drink from the dung filled rivers :)
Comment 2018-07-10 19:37:39 @donkeypong   Yes!!! I'm so pleased that you ended with Siduri's advice! I know that it's some scientists jobs to pursue this kind of thing, but I also wonder if it's the "right" thing to do; ethically and morally...is there some things in this world that we not supposed to mess around with. Similar to Pandora's box; perhaps we shouldn't know what's inside. Thank you for two great posts, and I mean great !! I'm so pleased that yours were my first read today; the history lover in me completely enjoyed them both :)
Comment 2018-07-10 19:10:30 @donkeypong   I saw this late last night, and began to read it but quickly figured out I needed a fresh and well-slept brain to enjoy it. I'm so glad that I did. I've often wondered about the pursuit of eternal life, and always ended up thinking that there was a bit of narcissism behind the whole idea. Personally, I wouldn't want to live forever, and I certainly don't have any grandiose ideas that the world would be a better place if I did. Why do you think all of these people wanted eternal life? That's a real question, not a rhetoric one by the way :) Perhaps my answer will be found in part 2. I'm one of the few perhaps here with a long attention span, and I was entrenched in your post without needing to move on to a second post, but I know, unfortunately, that many didn't even make it to the end of this one. That's a sad thought now, isn't it? I have to ask (and you certainly don't have to answer), but you are so knowledgeable and I wonder if you research all of this, or do you have some kind of background in history or ancient civilizations? Just curious that's all :)
Comment 2018-07-10 18:58:15 @galenkp   This is very beautifully written, a telling truth, albeit a sad one, on our current reality. Too bad it's only the feeling, empathetic and knowledgeable people like yourself who actually see it all, and actually care about it. Thanks for sharing. And that's a great photo by the way; really beautiful!
